“This week, we discovered our strength,” Giudici, 40, shared via Instagram on Sunday, July 26. “It came from texts, gifts, cards, supportive people, each other, and God. Thank you to all the friends and loved ones who uplifted us in our time of need, and [we are] immensely grateful for the foundation we built as a family before this challenge.”

The mom provided an update on Isaiah, 8, stating he is “doing better” after his recent hospitalization and is “adjusting to this new normal and really getting comfortable with being spoiled 🤣.”

Giudici and Lowe, 42, first disclosed Isaiah’s health challenges on Tuesday, July 21.

“This past week has been tough for the Lowes. Our beloved boy Isaiah was admitted to Children’s Hospital and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes,” Giudici wrote on Instagram at that time. “Our amazing pediatrician noticed some concerning symptoms during our annual visit.”

She continued, “He had lost 11 pounds since his last appointment (we thought it was just a growth spurt) and was drinking and urinating frequently (it’s quite hot here in the summer). Despite being otherwise healthy and active, she ran tests and referred us to the emergency room based on the alarming results. We are grateful for the nurses, doctors, and staff who provided us with a four-year education on his condition in just four days.”

Giudici, who also has son Samuel, 10, and daughter Mia, 6, with Lowe, mentioned that Isaiah has “faced countless injections, spent four days away from home, and navigated a lifestyle and routine that feel very foreign. He has managed to maintain his playful spirit and a joy that defies explanation. There have been many tears, pain, and confusion, but he has truly been a trooper.”

Lowe also shared his thoughts on their son’s diagnosis in his own update on Thursday, July 23.

“It was difficult because, as far as we knew, and Isaiah believed, he was a healthy boy,” he explained. “He didn’t really exhibit any symptoms except for frequent urination, and suddenly, he finds himself undergoing blood tests and receiving shots every two hours, which, understandably, he hates as an 8-year-old.”

After noting that his son is “doing great,” Lowe added, “God is good, and we know Isaiah is going to be alright.”
