Jennifer Lopez Posts Photos of Twins During Their Pre-College Trip
Jennifer Lopez is cherishing moments with her twins before they embark on their new journey.
In a post shared on Instagram on Monday, August 3, the 57-year-old Lopez shared a collection of photos featuring her 18-year-old twins traveling across Italy. (Lopez shares her children with ex-husband Marc Anthony.)
One photo captures Lopez guiding her twins down the stairs, while another depicts the family enjoying a meal together.
“Road tripping with my coconuts before they head off to college 😭,” Lopez wrote in the nostalgic post.
As her kids prepare to leave for college, Lopez has openly expressed her feelings.
“Tomorrow, one of them graduates. Don’t talk about it ‘cause we start crying. I’ve been crying for two months,” she shared during a May appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! “It’s okay. I want them to be happy, pursue their passions, and go wherever life takes them.”
Lopez is committed to “absolutely” assisting in her twins’ transition to college, although she suspects they might not want to stay on campus for long.
“We’re going to pack up their rooms here, and they’ll take all the essentials to their dorm. Then they’ll realize that dorms are too small and hopefully miss home, wanting to come back soon,” she revealed. “That’s my plan.”
“I remember being their age, eager to step into the world. I could hardly wait,” she added. “All year, people have asked me, ‘Are you dreading their departure to college?’ No, it’s an exciting time. I want them to chase their dreams. They have aspirations, and it’s going to be wonderful.”
Just a month later, Lopez expressed her immense pride in her twins for setting “goals for themselves.”
“They each got accepted into all five colleges they applied to and received scholarships,” Lopez mentioned in a June interview with Extra. “I saw the dedication they put in — they’ve been working hard since the fifth grade when school began to get serious.”
Lopez noted that her twins have ADHD, which means they “learn differently and faced challenges along the way.”
“I can’t express how proud I am of them for achieving their goals. They are genuinely kind-hearted individuals,” she emphasized. “They’ve always said that, and I would remind them, ‘What’s most important?’ They’d say, ‘It’s about being good people, not just good students.’ And I would affirm, ‘That’s absolutely right.’ They even remind me of that sometimes. I am incredibly proud of them both.”
