Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Celebrate the Arrival of Their Third Child
Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have officially welcomed their third child, increasing their family size.
“🎉🍼 Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 6:20 PM, in a hospital located in Lisbon, Portugal,” the official Royal Family Instagram account shared on Tuesday, August 4. “The newborn weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces.”
Alongside this announcement, the account shared a photo of the baby lying on her stomach, credited to Brooksbank.
“Their Majesties The King and Queen, along with other members of The Royal Family, were thrilled to hear the news,” concluded the caption.
Eugenie and Jack, who wed in October 2018, previously welcomed their sons, August and Ernest, in February 2021 and May 2023, respectively.
Buckingham Palace confirmed in May that Eugenie was expecting their third child.
“Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce that they are expecting their third child together, due this summer,” the palace stated to Us Weekly at the time. “August (5 years old) and Ernest (2 years old) are also very excited about having another sibling.”
The statement also revealed that Eugenie’s uncle, King Charles III, was “delighted with the news.”
On the same day, Eugenie shared her pregnancy confirmation via Instagram, featuring a photo of August and Ernest looking at an ultrasound, captioned, “Baby Brooksbank due 2026! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️👶🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️.”
This joyful news came amid a turbulent period for her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his royal title in October 2025 due to his association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. In February, Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
As Andrew’s controversies unfolded in the media, Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, took a step back from public engagements while the family navigated the scandal.
“Eugenie and Beatrice have had to revise their upcoming public engagements and future plans,” a source exclusively shared with Us in March. “They are more focused on the impact of Andrew’s situation than his potential arrest, but they are still horrified by his involvement and worry there could be more repercussions.”
While the family, including Eugenie and Beatrice’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, who was also linked to Epstein, chose to remain quiet about Andrew’s alleged wrongdoings, the insider mentioned, “It’s devastating for [the princesses], and it’s all anyone in London is discussing.”
According to another source, Eugenie and Beatrice decided against participating in public events anytime soon due to their parents’ situation, as they were aware they would be the focal point of attention.
The second insider also dismissed accusations that the royal family distanced themselves from Eugenie and Beatrice amid the scandal.
“The royal family has not distanced themselves from the girls. [Prince] William and [Princess] Kate [Middleton] maintain close relationships with them,” the source stated. “They have endured enough. They are not blamed for Andrew’s actions. There is a great deal of compassion. They are not pariahs; they are loved and supported despite these incredibly difficult circumstances.”
According to the second insider, the royals “have compassion” for the challenges Eugenie and Beatrice are facing.
“The royal family’s sentiments have not shifted. They care deeply for the girls,” the source added. “The changes in feelings are only toward Andrew and Fergie. They do not hold Beatrice and Eugenie accountable; they are victims in this situation… They have strong royal ties and continue to receive support.”
