Hallmark Stars Share Their Dream Celebrity Collaborations for the Network
From Jennifer Lopez to the Hemsworth brothers and Elisabeth Moss, Hallmark is aiming high with potential celebrity additions to their lineup.
Us had the opportunity to chat with various fan-favorite Hallmark stars on Tuesday, August 4, during a red carpet celebration for Hallmark Channel’s 25th Anniversary at The 92nd Street Y in New York. In these exclusive interviews, Alison Sweeney, Ashley Williams, Holly Robinson Peete, Wes Brown, Autumn Reeser, Niall Matter, Victor Webster, Rachel Boston, Nikki DeLoach, Andrew Walker, Erin Cahill, and Kimberley Sustad shared insights about their early roles and looked ahead to the future of Hallmark.
Tyler Hynes, Heather Hemmens, B.J. Britt, Marilu Henner, Barbara Niven, Scott Michael Foster, Lacey Chabert, Jonathan Bennett, and Benjamin Ayres also shared their favorite aspects of working with Hallmark while suggesting potential star-studded cast additions.
“There’s a plethora of talented actors out there. This space is becoming increasingly appealing to many,” said Walker in his conversation with Us. “People want to explore what Hallmark offers because it’s truly a pop culture phenomenon.”
He added, “Countdown to Christmas is sweeping the globe. So, who wouldn’t want to star in these films? Who doesn’t want to share these romantic tales?”

Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage
After enjoying City of Angels, Hynes expressed his desire to bring the leads to Hallmark, telling Us, “It’s among my top films. Let’s get Nicolas Cage involved too. He brings excitement.”
Jim Carrey
To add to the conversation, Hynes mentioned Carrey as a candidate for a future Hallmark project.
Jennifer Lopez
“I’d love to see J. Lo join us,” Hemmens told Us. “She’s the queen of romantic comedies. Let’s bring J-Lo to Hallmark, and we can have some fun.”
As for Hemmens’ envisioned role for the singer? “She could play my aunt!” she humorously suggested.
Elisabeth Moss
In a joint interview with DeLoach, Walker reminisced about Moss’s past interest in joining the Hallmark family.
“She’d be a phenomenal addition,” DeLoach remarked about the prospect of collaborating with Moss on a heartwarming holiday film.
The Hemsworth Brothers
Williams took a big swing by recommending all three Hemsworth brothers.
“Why can’t we have Liam Hemsworth in a Hallmark film? He has those charming brothers too,” she joked. “I feel like it’s time to aim high.”
Williams added, “Is it too bold to hope for a romantic scene with Liam Hemsworth? I think aiming that high is acceptable!”
Peete proposed names like Reno Wilson, Adrian Holmes, and Blair Underwood, while Sweeney reached into her soap opera roots to mention Kristian Alfonso.
“I’ve always been trying to get her to join us for a film, as she’s just delightful,” Sweeney noted, before jesting, “And I can’t say a guy, because the fan bases from Days of Our Lives… it would be quite the event.”
Jeremy Allen White
Sustad expressed her desire for White to participate now that The Bear has wrapped up.
“That role was quite intense and required deep emotional work,” she remarked. “He might be interested in some lighthearted rom-com with me. I’m ready!”
Christopher Nolan
Following the success of The Odyssey, Brown suggested that Nolan broaden his horizons by directing a Hallmark film in 4D.
Alyssa Milano and Stana Katic
Webster reminisced about his previous work, recommending Milano from Charmed and Katic, with whom he worked on Castle. Meanwhile, Boston cited her onscreen mother Julia Ormond from Witches of East End as someone she’d love to reunite with.
Cheyenne Jackson
Bennett suggested his friend Jackson for a role in a holiday film — a point Ayres supported during their conversation.
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Chabert continues to dream of a collaboration with Hewitt, recalling their past reunion with Scott Wolf.
Italia Ricci and Janel Parrish
Foster expressed eagerness to see Ricci on set with him again after their time on Chasing Life. Additionally, he mentioned Parrish for a potential reunion, as they’ve collaborated previously.
Kurt Russell
Niven drew inspiration from Chabert and Foster’s suggestions to propose Russell as her love interest in a Hallmark project.
“Once individuals step into the Hallmark environment, they often become enamored. It’s a wonderful place to work, fostering a sense of family while producing great content,” she explained.
