Katelynn Ordone Reveals Pampers Sponsored Brand Partnership Following the Loss of Her Son
Influencer Katelynn Ordone has recently shared her uplifting experience with Pampers following the tragic loss of her son, Preston.
“This isn’t the kind of thing I usually post about or discuss on social media, but I felt compelled to tell this story because we often hear negative accounts of influencers working with brands,” Ordone expressed in an Instagram video on Saturday, August 29, Instagram. “I remember hearing about a woman who received a crib during her pregnancy for a video, but after her miscarriage, the brand asked for the crib back. You know, things like that.”
She added, “I want to share this experience because it truly moved me. It was completely unexpected, unwarranted — it was just out of the kindness of this company’s heart.”
Ordone explained that just a week before she “got into a serious car accident” where Preston passed away, Pampers had contacted her about making a video. She recalled feeling that this opportunity was “amazing,” as she had been using Pampers naturally with Preston.
“So I thought, ‘OK, this is fantastic.’ These are already my favorite diapers for him. The contract with this brand — I can’t go into specifics, but let’s just say it was a substantial deal,” she stated. “Before I could film the video, we were in a car accident. Preston died, so I was unable to create the video for them.”
She continued, “Honestly, it wasn’t even on my mind. I’ve attempted to return to social media and collaborate with brands again, but my focus is elsewhere right now. I never really considered it.”
However, Ordone’s manager informed her that the company was “still paying [her] in full” despite her not producing a video after her son’s passing.
“It was essentially just a donation, which I found to be really wonderful because it was unexpected,” she shared. “I wouldn’t have thought any less of this company had they not made the payment; it was purely out of kindness. Knowing that Pampers is a brand I already appreciate, it makes me want to support them even more considering the kind of people they are.”
Ordone clarified that Pampers was not aware she was creating the video, noting that her Saturday post was not part of a formal brand partnership.
“This was an initiative I wanted to pursue independently because I thought it was an amazing gesture they made for my family in a time of need, which they absolutely didn’t have to do,” she expressed. “I wholeheartedly recommend Pampers to everyone.”
Ordone captioned her post, “We’ve all heard horror stories about certain brands, but it’s rare to see someone share a positive experience. So after nearly a year and a half since this all happened… I felt compelled to share.🤍@pampersus #prestonforever #okaybaby #pampers #childloss #diaper.”
Ordone’s son, Preston, tragically passed away at the age of 2 in April 2025 due to a single-vehicle car accident. Both Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone were in the vehicle and sustained injuries, while their daughter Paisley was at school. The St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office reported a month later that Preston died from “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash,” ruling it an accidental death.
Katelynn has confirmed her divorce from Jaelan, stating in court documents exclusively obtained by Us that they have been living apart since June 15, 2025, without any reconciliation since then. The judge denied the default judgment in April.
Last month, Katelynn shared photos of a new romantic partner. She later revealed on Instagram in August that she met her boyfriend at Preston’s memorial baseball tournament, explaining,
“His son and my little brother are on the same baseball team.”
