After the final performances on Monday, August 31, judges Mark Ballas, Shirley Ballas, and guest judge Derek Hough declared Adele Zaikman the inaugural champion of DWTS: The Next Pro.
“It feels like this is a celebration. All my sacrifices have led to this big, ‘I made it’ moment,” Adele expressed.
Adele’s partner for season 35 of DWTS will be revealed on the Wednesday, September 2 episode of Good Morning America, along with the complete lineup of professional dancers and celebrities.
In the recent Monday episode, Adele showcased her skills by performing a samba and a paso doble freestyle alongside former contestant Nev Schulman for a live audience.
“Adele, incredibly dynamic. Striking performances every time you stepped on this stage. It’s been an honor to witness and judge your journey,” Mark praised her after her performances.

Adele triumphed over runner-up AJ Pritchard, who partnered with Charli D’Amelio.
“Having the chance to perform in the finale, especially alongside Charli, was incredibly enriching and a memory I’ll cherish forever. Yet, I am also devastated about my placement,” AJ expressed about finishing second.
Selena Hamilton, on the other hand, secured third place after performing with Adam Rippon.
“I never imagined I would get past week one. Being in the top three means so much to me and the amazing friendships I’ve formed. This isn’t the end,” Selena reflected on her third-place finish.
Before her final performance, Adele shared an emotional account of her health journey.
“It’s surreal because dance has always been my form of therapy. At 13, I developed scoliosis and had to wear a brace for 2.5 years, 20 hours a day,” she revealed. “The doctors warned that without it, I wouldn’t be able to dance. So during the four hours I wasn’t in the brace, I danced. Those were the happiest hours of my life. Dance saved me, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without it.”
Dancing With the Stars season 35 commences with a double premiere on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET.
