Star of ‘Double Lives of Suburban Wives’ Opens Up About Motherhood Challenges

Double Lives of Suburban Wives star Heather Boyd is finding it challenging to juggle her personal life and career.

In an exclusive sneak peek from Us, previewing the Sunday, August 30, episode of TLC’s new reality series, Heather, 37, confides in her friends about the difficulties of maintaining her role as an adult content creator while fulfilling her duties as a mother.

“I don’t want to dampen the mood of girls’ night, but I’m internally struggling with everything, particularly about being exposed,” she admits. “I have older kids, and I can’t help but wonder how they would feel if they saw it.”

As filming progresses, TLC’s latest reality star starts to realize that hosting a TV show could bring an entirely new level of scrutiny.

“My husband and I have been doing this for a long time, but it’s always been behind closed doors,” Heather reflects in a confessional interview. “Now it feels like we’re being exposed. It makes me question whether we thought this through entirely; I thought we were prepared for it, but now I’m not so certain.”

While her friends listen without casting any judgment, one friend points out the potential challenges ahead.

“I’m not going to downplay it,” Heather’s friend comments. “I’m sure there will be some harsh things said by people.”

However, the adult content creator is unconcerned about the opinions of strangers; her children’s thoughts are what truly matter to her.

“I really don’t care what anyone else thinks. To me, that’s irrelevant,” Heather states in the preview clip. “What matters is what my kids think. That’s what’s weighing on my mind right now—what if they see things I can’t even foresee.”

In another confessional interview, Heather struggles to hold back tears as she prepares for an uncertain future.

“I’m having a tough night, so I’m just trying to hold it together,” she says tearfully. “Being on TV is vastly different from operating a private hidden page, and I find myself wondering how my kids will perceive me if they watch this, and how it might impact their futures. I’m dealing with a lot of internal conflict.”

Heather is one of six women from the St. Louis area featured on Double Lives of Suburban Wives. TLC’s series showcases the intricacies of their marriages, parenting, suburban lifestyles, and their ventures in the adult content industry.
