Dating History of Heated Rivalry Cast Members: Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie
Much like their fictional characters, the Heated Rivalry cast has discovered love beyond the screen.
Adapted from Rachel Reid‘s Game Changers book series, Heated Rivalry explores the lives of two rival professional hockey players, Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), whose fierce rivalry on the ice masks an intense — and secret — romance.
The series debuted on the Canadian streaming platform Crave in November 2025 and later expanded its reach on HBO Max. Following the release of its initial episodes, fans of the book series took to social media to express their enthusiasm for the adaptation, particularly praising the dynamic between Storrie and Williams.
“We’re both very tactile as far as love languages and self-expression go,” Storrie shared with Swooon at the time. “We enjoy physical touch, whether it’s with friends, family, or partners.”
He elaborated: “When these characters begin to feel positively towards one another, we consciously let that shine. The excitement lies in how it manifests [for Shane and Ilya], differing from our personal experiences. That impulse feels natural within us. We also became incredibly close, very quickly, which certainly helps.”
As the show gained popularity, Storrie and Williams began addressing the increasing attention on their on-screen romance — and in turn, their personal lives. Creator Jacob Tierney even had to sidestep a question regarding Storrie and Williams’ sexual orientations off-screen.
“I don’t think it’s necessary to delve into that,” Tierney remarked to LGBTQ+ magazine Xtra in December 2025 when asked about the significance of Williams and Storrie’s private lives. “Let me tell you, during the casting process for these roles, those questions can’t be posed; it’s actually illegal. What matters is assessing a person’s enthusiasm and readiness to engage in the work.”
