Kristi Noem’s Estranged Husband Speaks Out Following Divorce News
Bryon Noem, the estranged husband of Kristi Noem, is speaking out following the former Secretary of Homeland Security’s divorce filing amid his public “bimbo” scandal.
“Bryon is heartbroken over the end of the marriage and is hoping for a private and amicable resolution,” Bryon’s attorney, Tim Bottum, stated in a statement to TMZ that was published on Wednesday, September 30. “If court proceedings become necessary, Bryon will gladly take the opportunity to share his side of the story honestly.”
Bottum further added in the statement, “Bryon’s priority is to protect the family and proceed as caring parents and grandparents.”
Us also reached out to Bryon’s legal team for a comment about the divorce but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
Per court documents obtained by Us on Tuesday, September 29, the former governor of South Dakota, 54, filed for divorce on April 6 in Hamlin County, South Dakota. (Us contacted Kristi’s attorney and Bryon for comments around that time, but did not receive replies.)
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation, which followed her estranged husband’s widely publicized “bimbo” controversy.
Earlier this year, Bryon attracted attention after being accused of leading a double life during his estranged wife’s scrutinized association with former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. In March, the Daily Mail released alleged photos of Bryon seemingly wearing fake breasts, claiming he had spent money to interact with models involved in the “bimbofication” scene through online forums. (Bimbofication typically refers to individuals who have had surgical enhancements to achieve a more doll-like appearance.)
In the alleged images, Bryon was reportedly dressed in pink hot pants while appearing to wear fake breasts that looked like they were made from balloons. According to reports, he allegedly paid $25,000 to talk with online models in this scene.
The outlet also stated that Bryon allegedly messaged one model expressing his affection for “huge, huge ridiculous boobs.”
Following the release of the alleged photos, Kristi publicly addressed the situation.
“Ms. Noem is heartbroken,” a spokesperson for the former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security stated to the New York Post on March 31. “The family was caught off guard by this, and they are asking for privacy and prayers during this time.”
Kristi and Bryon were married in 1992. The couple has three children: daughters Kassidy and Kennedy, and son Booker. They are also grandparents.
President Trump — who terminated Kristi’s role as Secretary of Homeland Security and assigned her to what many consider the “superfluous” position of United States Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas — eventually commented on Bryon’s scandal.
“I feel sorry for the family, if that’s the situation. That’s unfortunate,” Trump told the Daily Mail in March. “I haven’t seen or heard anything about it. That’s too bad, but I just know nothing about it.”
