Brandi Glanville Shares Her Thoughts on Joining Mormon Wives and Dancing with the Stars
After a surprisingly short run on Special Forces, Brandi Glanville is keeping her reality TV options open — and she can envision herself appearing on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
“Maybe I’ll join Mormon Wives,” she told Us exclusively while reflecting on her experience on Fox’s Special Forces. “I feel like I’ve done all the shows.”
At 53, Glanville recognized that Mormon Wives might need some assistance given Taylor Frankie Paul‘s legal troubles and the division within the cast.
“Perhaps I could be their military person on the show. ‘Get in line, girls. No more babies. Too much soda,’” she joked. “‘Stop it!’”
While Glanville remains open to opportunities, she expressed some hesitation regarding DWTS, saying, “I think that show is incredibly intense. I’ve had friends participate, and they’ve told me, ‘It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.’ And these people are fit! Maybe I could have done it 15 years ago.”
She added, “I prefer something where I can just chat, sip wine, and enjoy dinner. Getting paid to be myself? That sounds fun.”
Glanville is most recognized for her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from 2011 to 2016, with guest appearances in 2019 and 2020. She has since made appearances on other programs, including Fox’s Special Forces.
“I’m so proud that I didn’t give up and didn’t want to be the first one eliminated. Obviously, no one wants that,” she shared with Us. “I wanted to demonstrate to my kids that I could accomplish this, but I eventually had to see a doctor. I was done. Yet I think this still shows the kids that I’m kind of a badass.”
The action-packed premiere on Thursday, September 24, featured contestants being challenged to jump out of a helicopter headfirst into the ocean. They then had to quickly swim back to the dock, which proved difficult for several recruits.
“I over-rotated. I know it felt like my head hit the water, and it was incredibly hard,” Glanville recounted from her experience. “I was instantly dizzy, thinking my whole body was submerged. Then my body hit the water, and it felt like being run over by a truck.”
Glanville recalled experiencing several health issues.
“Everyone kept touching me, and even a light touch on my back was painful. I was spinning. I couldn’t hear from my left ear immediately. I felt nauseous, but when the camera guy got in my face, I thought, ‘You’re not getting a reaction from me,’” she explained. “So I sat down, but they were like, ‘Stand up!’ I was like, ‘I cannot stand up. I’ll pass out and hit my head.’”
Glanville reflected, “Of course, I was having all these crazy thoughts, but everyone seemed to handle it better than I did. I was the second to go, and as I watched all these girls do it effortlessly, I thought, ‘Am I just a disaster? Why can’t I do this like everyone else?’”
Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season 5 airs on Fox Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
