Ysabel Brown, daughter of Christine Brown, expressed her concerns regarding her mother’s quick engagement to David Woolley.
During the recent episode of Sister Wives, which aired on Sunday, January 12, viewers witnessed Christine and David exchange vows, also revealing the reactions of their family members. While preparing for the ceremony, 21-year-old Ysabel shared her thoughts with Christine about realizing David was the one.
“We were out of town and he looked at you and he was like, ‘Oh, I love you so much,’” Ysabel reminisced. “It felt so honest and pure. I’ve never heard someone express ‘I love you’ to you like that before.”
Christine beamed as she listened, but Ysabel later provided a contrasting viewpoint in a confessional on TLC.
“When David initially proposed to my mom, I felt it was quite soon. I thought it was a bit hasty,” Ysabel admitted. “However, I’ve had time to come to terms with it.”
Previously, Christine was in a spiritual marriage with Kody Brown for over 25 years until their split in November 2021. Following that, Kody’s relationships with wives Janelle Brown and Meri Brown also came to an end. He remains legally married to Robyn Brown.

After her separation from Kody — with whom she has six children, including Ysabel — Christine introduced her relationship with David in February 2023. Just two months later, he proposed, and they exchanged vows in October 2023.
“It’s given me a lot more clarity to see how deeply they love one another,” Ysabel commented during Sunday’s broadcast. “I’m genuinely thrilled and excited for them.”
As Christine approached the altar, she was escorted by her son, Paedon. “I asked [him], ‘Should I be feeling nervous?’” Christine reflected in a confessional. “I wasn’t even anxious. Then we began walking, and I glanced over at David, and it felt like, ‘There’s my heart.’”
Paedon tried to hold back his tears while walking alongside his mother, expressing that David is “a really good man.” He then handed Christine over to her father, Rex, just prior to reaching the altar.
Reflecting on Christine’s wedding day, Ysabel praised the “perfect” ceremony held in Utah. She spoke about how she has come to terms with Christine and David marrying quickly, revealing that she’s genuinely overjoyed for them as a couple.
“I believe I’ve had enough time to get to know David as a father figure and as an incredible person,” she shared with the cameras. “Now, I can’t imagine life without him.”
Christine’s children were thrilled to witness her happiness — and they were not alone in their support. Janelle’s children were also present to help Christine transition into this new chapter of her life.
“For the first time in ages, it felt like the true Brown family was reunited,” remarked son Gabe, whose relationship with Kody has been strained over the years.
Kody himself expressed his support for his ex-wife’s new marriage, saying, “Ultimately, I’m just glad Christine is happy, and that’s wonderful,” even though he admitted to feeling “FOMO” about missing the wedding day.
Sister Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
