Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone’s Daughter Vivian Attends Prom
Melissa McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone’s eldest daughter, Vivian, has blossomed right before their eyes — and she’s all set for prom in style.
“Much appreciation to @sherrihill @realkarahill @dandridesigns for making Viv’s prom dreams a reality,” McCarthy, 54, shared through her Instagram Stories on Friday, May 30, showcasing a rare photo of her firstborn.
In the snapshot, Vivian looked dazzling in a blue-and-white floral strapless gown, complete with a corseted bodice and ruffled skirt. The teenager complemented her look with a delicate gold pendant necklace and styled her auburn hair in a tousled updo.
Alongside Vivian, McCarthy and Falcone, 51, are also parents to their daughter, Georgette, 15.
“[My daughters are] genuinely smart, funny, and unique,” the Bridesmaids actress remarked to Us Weekly and other reporters in February 2019. “I believe they’re better [than me]. They’re so much further along in their lives than I was. It took me almost 30 years to find their level of confidence, so it’s wonderful to witness.”
According to McCarthy, her parenting journey has brought “more joys than challenges.”
“The challenges mainly revolve around, ‘Am I doing enough?’ and continually being amazed by my girls,” she expressed with enthusiasm.
A year prior, McCarthy disclosed the essential lessons she imparts to Vivian and Georgette.
“I constantly remind my kids that their self-worth is determined by them, not by others’ opinions,” she shared exclusively with Us in October 2018. “We often get caught up in, ‘What do you think of me?’ or ‘Do you like my vacation photos?’”
McCarthy and Falcone have been happily married since 2005.
“They both champion each other’s careers and nurture creativity together at home,” a source told Us in November 2022. “They are truly each other’s biggest supporters in all aspects.”
Even though McCarthy and Falcone maintain a relatively private family life, Vivian and Georgette are aware of their most significant acting projects.
“I once watched [the Gilmore Girls pilot] with Vivian, my eldest, and it was just so entertaining to see her reactions,” she joked on a May 2023 episode of Today, referencing her role as Sookie St. James on the WB hit. “I also constantly worry about the day I might find myself in a situation where I’m watching my own work and something goes wrong. I have this odd paranoia about it.”
She further added, “I always think, what if I faint and the medics walk in to discover me watching my own project? That would be quite strange. It’s always on my mind when I see myself on TV. I’m like, ‘Oh gosh, do I feel faint?’ I really don’t want to faint in a room while watching myself on screen. I understand this sounds a bit crazy.”
