Anna Faris Commends Son Jack for His Resilience After Losing Home in L.A. Fires

Anna Faris experienced a significant loss when her residence was destroyed in the January fires in Los Angeles, but she has found comfort in her son, Jack.

“He’s managed the situation regarding the fires very well too,” Faris, 48, reveals exclusively in the latest issue of Us Weekly. “I truly appreciate that.”

The actress describes her 12-year-old as “awesome,” and adds, “For a kid who’s grown up in Hollywood, he is remarkably down-to-earth and practical.”

Faris shares Jack with her ex-husband Chris Pratt, whom she was married to from 2009 until 2018. After their separation, Faris moved on with Michael Barrett, whom she married in 2021.

In January, both Faris and Pratt, 45, evacuated their homes in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles as the fires swept through.

Pratt later documented the aftermath of the devastation on social media as he returned to find his and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger’s residence still intact. (Pratt shares three children with Schwarzenegger: daughters Lyla, 4, and Eloise, 2, and son Ford, 4 months.)

In contrast, Faris’ home did not survive. “It’s incredibly devastating, as you can imagine. The silver lining is that my house was saved, but so many people around us lost their homes, and our community has been affected,” Pratt shared in an Instagram video at the time. “My son’s school is gone. My son’s mom’s house burned down.”
