Bachelor’s Caelynn and Dean Bell Are “Working Actively” to Begin Their Family
Caelynn and Dean Bell have included family expansion in their 2025 vision board.
“We are trying to start a family,” Caelynn, 29, shared in a YouTube vlog released on Thursday, January 2. “It’s on the vision board, which might sound strange. I’m not sure if that qualifies as a goal since we are actively trying, but conceiving is turning out to be more challenging than I anticipated.”
She added, “I know everyone claims, ‘I’m going to get pregnant easily.’ My mom conceived quickly with all her children, so I thought, ‘I’ll be just like her.’”
According to Caelynn, she has discovered that “ovulation can be complicated.”
“I’m still figuring things out,” the Bachelor in Paradise alum continued. “I did get the Mira. I finally connected with the OB in January, and I also got this Mira [Fertility Tracker] device. You insert the tester, urinate on a stick, and it indicates your [luteinizing hormone] LH levels. I was using other sticks that show lines, but I had such difficulties. I was like, ‘When am I ovulating?’ I’m still learning about it.”
A friend of Caelynn’s used the same Mira device and was able to conceive in just a month.
“But that hasn’t been my experience,” she joked. “Should I even be sharing this?”
Caelynn, who was one of Colton Underwood’s final four contestants on season 23 of The Bachelor in 2019, met 33-year-old Dean during Bachelor in Paradise season 6. They left the show early to travel the world together in his camper van. After three years together, Dean and Caelynn proposed to one another.
At that point, they were both already donning commitment rings.
“I’m committed to Caelynn and only Caelynn. That’s why I’ve been wearing this for the past six months or so,” Dean expressed on a 2020 episode of The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons — Ever! “It signifies to the world or those around us that we are devoted to one another. I find comfort in waking up and seeing my partner with that ring, knowing, ‘Yes, they understand I’m committed to them and it’s mutual.’”
Caelynn mentioned that they are in a “strong, committed relationship.”
“He started wearing a hair tie around his ring finger to fend off women,” she fondly shared with former host Chris Harrison. “I loved the idea. We discussed getting rings, and it’s just reassuring to know we’re in a strong, committed relationship without needing the government involved, as Dean often puts it.”
Dean and Caelynn tied the knot in September 2023, choosing to adopt the last name Bell to honor Dean’s late mother, who bore that surname.
