Billie Eilish’s Mom Expresses Gratitude to Justin Bieber for Coachella 2026
Justin Bieber fulfilled Billie Eilish’s childhood dreams by serenading her during Coachella Weekend 2, creating a moment that resonated deeply with her mother as well.
After Bieber, 32, brought Eilish, 24, up on stage in Indio, California, during his second headlining performance on Saturday, April 18, her mother, Maggie Baird, shared her reflections on Instagram, capturing her feelings while watching from the crowd.
“One of the most heartwarming moments ever,” Baird, 67, wrote alongside a series of photos and videos from the night. “It sounds unbelievable, but we witness our children form these profound connections with artists who inspire them, and often there’s little we can do. We buy records and may get them a concert ticket (or a movie of a concert, since that was our case as we couldn’t afford actual concert tickets).”
Baird shared clips of a tearful Eilish standing in awe next to her, getting ready to be Bieber’s “One Less Lonely Girl” — a tradition he has maintained where he invites a fan on stage to serenade them with his 2009 hit.
“I am incredibly thankful to Justin Bieber for the kindness he has shown Billie,” Baird continued. “And to Hailey [Bieber] for making so many wonderful things possible.” (Hailey, 29, has been married to Justin since September 2018, and the couple shares a son, Jack, who is 19 months old.)
Hailey responded to Baird’s post twice, saying, “❤️ you guys!” and later adding, “so special.”

Billie, a devoted fan of Justin since she was around 12, later took to her own Instagram Stories to express her emotions about the moment. Sharing a blurry selfie, taken while lying down and only revealing the top half of her face, the “Birds of a Feather” singer wrote, “Can’t stop crying.”
Justin surprised fans by inviting Eilish to the stage on Saturday. As detailed in Baird’s post, the audience erupted in cheers as Hailey accompanied her daughter to the stage, where Billie fell into a heap multiple times from excitement before receiving a warm hug from Justin.

Eilish revealed to Billboard in 2021 that Justin has been a crucial source of support as she navigates her journey in the music industry.
“He’s a great friend of mine,” she shared with the magazine. “He has been incredibly helpful, especially in terms of dealing with fame. He’ll sometimes call me with words that make me feel understood, like there’s someone else who shares similar experiences. It’s really nice to have him around.”
