Erika Jayne Considering Exit from RHOBH Following Abusive Relationship
Erika Jayne disclosed that her recent encounter with domestic violence almost led her to withdraw from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“We haven’t seen you in this space since you shared your background involving domestic violence,” Andy Cohen mentioned during the Thursday, April 16, episode of Watch What Happens Live. “It was surprising yet powerful to hear from you. What kind of feedback have you received, and why did you choose to share it?”
Erika, aged 54, stated that it was “the right moment” to open up about her experience on the show.
“The response has been overwhelmingly positive,” she added, expressing her gratitude to fans.
When Andy inquired if she felt “scared” addressing her experience, Erika replied, “Oh, I considered quitting the show. It was the culmination of everything I have faced over the last six years, plus that. It felt incredibly heavy.”
She continued, “Discussing it felt like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I can’t endure this any longer.’ I truly felt like I was throwing my hands up.”
During a lunch with Denise Richards and Sutton Stracke in a February episode of RHOBH, Erika revealed that she had “recently” suffered domestic violence from someone she was dating. (The individual was not named.)
“Not with any of my husbands… It doesn’t really matter who,” Erika clarified. “It happened not too long ago. It occurred more than once, yes. And after the third time, I thought, ‘This is not for me.’”
She further explained, “I’ll just say one more thing, then I’ll leave it at this. You have no idea how painful it is to be the mother of a police officer and have to call 911, then notify your family member and say, ‘I think you should hear this from me first before you hear it elsewhere.’”
Erika is the mother of Tommy Zizzo, whom she shares with ex-husband Thomas Zizzo, married from 1991 to 1996. She wed Tom Girardi in 2000, filing for divorce two decades later. Erika has been linked romantically to John “Shrek” McPhee since July 2025.
Erika divulged more about her ordeal with abuse in a confessional.
“I met someone, and it began as fun. There were no expectations of happily ever after or this is my person or any of that nonsense,” Erika stated on RHOBH. “It was several months after meeting this individual that it spiraled into chaos.”
