Families of Today Show Hosts: Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager, and Others
The team behind the Today show has frequently offered insights into their personal lives, both on-air and through social media, over the years.
Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and various stars of the NBC morning program have welcomed children throughout the years. Kotb, who departed from the show in January 2025, became a mother in February 2017 when she adopted her daughter Haley with her former partner, Joel Schiffman.
“She’s a Valentine’s baby. She is the love of my life,” Kotb expressed during the broadcast at that time. “I never thought my heart could feel this way. This is a significant moment in my life that I never imagined would happen, and here it is, unfolding before me.”
Their family expanded further with the birth of their daughter Hope in April 2019. “She’s currently laying on the pillow,” Kotb shared with her cohosts during a call-in segment. “I’m feeding her, and it’s hard to believe. I’m here, thinking about what I might deserve, but wow, I’m just so grateful she’s here.”
Kotb and Schiffman have continued to co-parent their daughters amicably following their separation in January 2022.
