Harry Connick Jr. Posts Exclusive Photo with His Daughters at the Australian Open

Harry Connick Jr. is having a great time at the Australian Open with his wife and three daughters.

“[At] the @australianopen with my girls! super excited to watch @janniksin tonight 😀,” Harry, 57, posted on Instagram on Thursday, January 16, from Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.

In his post, the actor and singer included a selfie with his wife, Jill Goodacre, and their three daughters: Georgia, 28, Sarah Kate, 27, and Charlotte, 22. The Australian Open, which runs for two weeks, began on January 6 and will finish on January 26.

After Harry’s role as a judge on Australian Idol in 2023, all three of his daughters moved to Australia. “They’re studying and working there, and they’re really enjoying it,” the musician told People in July 2024. “Georgia and Kate had visited a couple of times when they were younger while I was on tour, so they always wanted to return. And when Charlotte got there, she fell in love with it as well.”

Discussing Australia, the New Orleans native expressed, “First and foremost, the people are incredibly kind and welcoming. It’s a stunning country. The cuisine is among the best globally. The air is fresh, and the quality of life is fantastic. The pace is laid-back.”

Harry and Jill got married in April 1994, four years after they first met and two years after their engagement. In 2019, the Hope Floats actor shared exclusively with Us Weekly their key to a lasting marriage.

“I married my best friend and a woman whom I deeply respect,” he told Us at that time. “We share the same values, making it easy to instill those in our children.”

In 2012, Harry and Jill’s marriage faced challenges when the former model was diagnosed with breast cancer. “I remember what you said to me. I was working down there, waiting for the call, and you were crying, saying, ‘I have it,’ and I lost it,” Harry recalled to Jill during an October 2017 episode of his show Harry. “It was the most helpless I’ve ever felt.”

At that time, Jill expressed that revealing her diagnosis to their daughters was the hardest part of her cancer journey, yet it ultimately strengthened the family bond.

“That was the most difficult moment. Having the girls sit beside me on my bed as I told them—they were so stunned, it was heart-wrenching,” she reflected. “They cling to me more now, which is really sweet. They have been incredibly supportive, just amazing.”

Harry remarked on the show, “You were probably stronger than I was, honestly. You established how we would cope with it,” he said admiringly. “I’m in awe of your bravery.”
