Inside Blake Lively’s Family: Discover Her 4 Siblings, Children, and More
Blake Lively has carried on the family tradition by entering the entertainment field.
Born in Los Angeles in 1987, Blake is the youngest of Ernie and Elaine Lively’s five children. Elaine had her first three children — Lori, Jason, and Robyn — with her former spouse, Ronnie Lively, before marrying Ernie in 1979. Together, they welcomed a son, Eric, and Blake.
Both Ernie, who adopted his wife’s surname, and Elaine were active in the acting profession while Blake was growing up, with Elaine also working as a talent manager. Like her siblings, Blake also developed a passion for acting and became a prominent figure in Hollywood through her performances in Gossip Girl, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, A Simple Favor, and many more.
Blake’s personal life flourished when she married fellow actor Ryan Reynolds in 2012. They are the proud parents of three daughters — James, Inez, and Betty — as well as a son, Olin.
Following her sexual harassment lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni, in December 2024, Blake received support from several family members. (Lively alleged Baldoni created a “hostile work environment” and attempted to damage her reputation with a smear campaign. Baldoni’s lawyer refuted these “outrageous” claims in a statement to Us Weekly, suggesting that the actress filed the lawsuit to “repair her negative reputation” and threatened not to participate in filming or promotional activities unless her demands were met.)

Ernie Lively
Ernie began his acting career in the 1970s with parts in television series such as The Waltons, McCloud, Fantasy Island, Fame, and Falcon Crest. He appeared in significant works like Turner & Hooch, Quantum Leap, Passenger 57, Murder, She Wrote, and The West Wing. Notably, he co-starred with Blake in both The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequel.
Ernie passed away at the age of 74 due to cardiac complications in June 2021, surrounded by family. Blake’s beverage brand, Betty Buzz, honors her late father, as both his mother and sister were named Betty.
In her December 2024 lawsuit against Baldoni, Blake accused her co-star of displaying “shocking and emotionally distressing” conduct, which included “[claiming] he could converse with the dead.” Baldoni reportedly mentioned to Blake “multiple times” that “he had spoken to her deceased father,” remarks Blake found “off-putting and inappropriate.”
Elaine Lively
Blake has humorously noted that she inherited some traits from her mother, an actress and talent manager.
“I prefer to use the term ‘maximalist’ over ‘hoarder.’ It makes me feel better. I have to wonder where I got it,” Blake playfully remarked in a December 2023 Instagram post featuring her mother adorned with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. “Me: Mom, please take a picture for Tiffany with me. Which necklace should you wear? Mom: All of them. Me: No, choose your favorite. Mom: ALL of them. Turn on The Makeup Light. … the woman always wins.”
Lori Lively
Born in 1966, Lori is the eldest of Elaine and Ronnie’s children. Over the years, she acted in various television shows and films, including Working Girl, The Bold and the Beautiful, Melrose Place, ER, Two and a Half Men, and The Mentalist.
Lori, alongside Elaine and Robyn, supported Blake on the red carpet at the August 2024 New York City premiere of It Ends With Us. Lori shared on Instagram, “The only thing I cherished more than celebrating this magical evening with my sister and family was witnessing her in this film. If you thought you loved her before, you will feel a different kind of love after experiencing the heartache and joy she brings to this role. It perfectly reflects her essence.”
Jason Lively
Jason, born in 1968, is the second child of Elaine and Ronnie. He starred in several shows and movies during the 1980s and 1990s, such as The Dukes of Hazzard, 21 Jump Street, and Class of Fear. After his appearance in the 1993 video game Return to Zork, he took a brief hiatus from acting. His recent credits include the 2017 films Hickok and The Possessed, available on IMDb.
Since 2005, Jason has been married to Lani Lively, and they reportedly have three children together.
Robyn Lively
Born in 1972, Robyn is the youngest child of Elaine and Ronnie. After several minor television roles, Robyn gained recognition as Louise Miller in the 1989 film Teen Witch. She has built a substantial career in Hollywood, featuring in The Karate Kid Part III, Twin Peaks, Doogie Howser, M.D., Chicago Hope, Savannah, JAG, Letters to God, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and Landman.
Robyn married actor Bart Johnson in 1999. They have three children together — sons Baylen and Wyatt, along with daughter Kate.
After Blake’s lawsuit against Baldoni in December 2024, both Robyn and Bart extended their public support. “Finally, justice for my sister @blakelively,” Robyn stated on her Instagram Story, sharing screenshots of an article from The New York Times concerning the legal action.
Bart, on his part, took to the comments of a The New York Times Instagram post addressing the situation to defend Blake. “Her complaints were lodged during filming. It’s on the record. Long before the public altercation. The cast unfollowed him for valid reasons. Read this article before perpetuating ignorance. His PR team was exceptional,” he stated. “Disgraceful and appalling but incredibly effective. Review the article, their text exchanges, and the PR strategy employed to undermine her by any means required. Nobody is without faults. The public was manipulated.”
Eric Lively
Elaine and Ernie’s first child, Eric, was born in 1981. Like his parents and siblings, Eric embarked on his acting journey in the early 1990s, appearing in Full House, American Pie, and So Weird. In recent years, he has featured in productions like A Minute With Stan Hooper, The L Word, Modern Men, A Madea Christmas, and BFFs.
Eric has been happily married to his wife, Angelina Davydova, since 2005.
Ryan Reynolds
Blake met Ryan while playing love interests in the 2011 superhero film Green Lantern, and they began their romantic relationship shortly after Ryan completed his divorce from Scarlett Johansson. The couple tied the knot the following year.
In July 2024, Blake humorously addressed breakup rumors by responding to an Instagram comment that suggested, “You and Ryan need to share more photos together; there were rumors circulating that you two had divorced, and I didn’t believe it because you’re literally the perfect couple.” Blake replied, “Haha they wish 😂.”
James, Inez, Betty, and Olin Reynolds
Blake and Ryan welcomed their first child, daughter James, in 2014. They later had Inez and Betty in 2016 and 2019, respectively, and their son Olin in 2023.
Blake and Ryan’s close friend, Taylor Swift, serves as the godmother to their three daughters, and she notably referenced their names in her 2020 song “Betty.” Director Shawn Levy is the godfather of Olin.
Ryan mentioned in a December 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he and Blake strive to provide their children with “as normal a life as possible” despite their celebrity status.
