JJ Watt and Wife Kealia Reveal They’re Expecting Baby No. 2
Former NFL star JJ Watt is set to become a father … for the second time!
On Monday, February 3, JJ and his wife, Kealia Ohai Watt, shared the exciting news on Instagram that they are expecting their second child.
Kealia, who is also a retired professional soccer player, has been married to JJ since February 2020.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Koa James Watt, in October 2022.
In the announcement, alongside photos of their family of three and their two dogs, Koa is pictured giving Kealia’s growing baby bump a sweet kiss.
“We can’t wait to welcome new love into our lives,” JJ and Kealia wrote in their joint Instagram post.
JJ isn’t the only one in the Watt family awaiting a new addition in 2025; both of his brothers, T.J. Watt and Derek Watt, are also expecting little ones this year.
In October 2024, Derek and his wife, Gabriella Watt, shared the news that they are having their third child, a girl.
“I can’t wait!!!! She will have a whole family wrapped around her finger,” Uncle JJ commented on the exciting announcement.
T.J. and his wife, Dani Watt, also revealed they are expecting their first child in November 2024.
After JJ and Kealia made their pregnancy announcement, fans humorously commented, “WATT is in the water?”
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly in 2024, Watt expressed his desire to have known more about the demands of parenting prior to becoming a dad.
“It’s both a blessing and a challenge how much time and energy it takes,” JJ confessed.
“You can’t just pick up and do what you want; you now have a human to care for. But there’s an incredible energy and joy that comes from it, and that youthfulness they bring is rejuvenating. It’s the most amazing experience ever.”
With the arrival of their second child on the horizon, life is about to get a whole lot busier for the Watts.
