Millie Bobby Brown Raves About Her Daughter in Celebrity Substitute
Millie Bobby Brown is gearing up to return to Celebrity Substitute with a fresh perspective now that she is a mother.
“I’m genuinely concerned that I may not provide the best advice. I don’t want to hinder their growth. I’m stepping in as a mom now, which presents a different viewpoint,” the 22-year-old actress shared in an exclusive first look for Us Weekly regarding season 3 of Celebrity Substitute. “Honestly, before my daughter, I likely would have approached this as a ‘boot camp’ situation.”
Now, Brown is embracing a more “gentle parenting” style, expressing her desire for the kids to “be who you are” and to always feel “loved and supported.”
“My daughter is truly the apple of my eye,” she beams, emphasizing that motherhood “provides a different understanding.”
Brown elaborates, “While I always comprehended my parents’ messages, I now grasp them on a much deeper level.”
Brown and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, married in 2024 and welcomed their daughter through adoption in the following year. (The couple has not disclosed their child’s name publicly.)
“This summer, we were blessed to welcome our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the couple shared in an Instagram post in August 2025. “We are incredibly excited to start this beautiful new chapter of parenthood with both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Earlier this year, Brown discussed her experiences with the adoption process.
“Every journey is unique. The hardest part is waiting for the call,” Brown remarked during a June episode of Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, offering advice to others in similar situations. “Always remember that every journey is different. Avoid comparing yourself to others, to statistics, or to other families—your baby is out there, and you will find each other.”
In this upcoming season of the award-winning digital series, produced by EGOT winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Brown will instruct a classroom of film students in New York City. By the end of each episode, Amazon aids in clearing items from a fortunate teacher’s Amazon Classroom List, simplifying how teachers gather and share resources for their classrooms and communities.
Apart from Brown, Celebrity Substitute season 3 will boast appearances from members of Katseye, including Tom Holland, SZA, Matt Rogers, Bowen Yang, Maluma, Quinta Brunson, Alex Warren, Ziwe, Idris Elba, Latto, and Charlie Puth.
Brown’s episode is set to debut on July 14 at 8 pm ET on the Celebrity Substitute YouTube channel. For more details, visit Celebrity Substitute on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
