Kaity Biggar Wears Michelle Obama’s Earrings for Her Wedding to Zach Shallcross

Kaity Biggar shares a style reminiscent of Michelle Obama.

Biggar, 30, who revealed she married her Bachelor season 27 lead, Zach Shallcross, on Wednesday, June 11, discussed her bridal details with fellow Bachelor Nation couple Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile during an episode of their “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast on Thursday, June 12.

After expressing her desire for a “simple” wedding dress, Biggar shared her vision of pairing it with extravagant earrings, leading her to shop at Kendra Scott.

“The earrings were the main thing I focused on,” she said. “I went to Kendra Scott, thinking I might find something special.” Biggar detailed how she fell “in love” with a pair of 6-carat lab-grown diamond earrings, featuring an oval stud connected to a larger gem, all set in a gold bezel.

“I asked to see them and inquired about the price. They responded, ‘Oh, they’re $10,000,’” Biggar explained. Although the earrings exceeded her budget, a friend at Kendra Scott was able to lend them to her for the occasion.

After explaining how she secured the stunning earrings, Biggar noted that the only other person to wear them was Obama, who is 61.

Shallcross, 28, clarified that his wife wore the “exact same earrings” as the former first lady, not a different pair.

Pitt joked with Shallcross, suggesting he should start saving up to buy the earrings for Biggar, to which she replied that she would “probably never wear them again.”

Biggar also took to Instagram on Wednesday, sharing that the jewelry was “more expensive than” her dress.

The Bachelor alum revealed she initially intended to choose a “very simple Anthropologie dress” for her wedding but ultimately fell “in love” with a dress at Pronovias in Austin.

“I always envisioned a simple, elegant dress and initially shunned strapless styles until I tried one on and fell in love with the cut,” she shared. “I felt truly beautiful and like a princess in it, which made me very emotional. It was that moment when I knew, ‘Wow, this is the dress.’” She completed her look with $119 lacy Betsey Johnson heels.

For the reception, Biggar swapped her A-line gown for a pearl-embellished Sherri Hill dress, paired with Bella Belle heels. Shallcross, looking “like James Bond,” donned a State Liberty tuxedo.

The couple met and fell in love while filming The Bachelor in 2023, culminating in Shallcross proposing to Biggar at the end of the season.
