Kate Cassidy Felt ‘Humiliated’ After TSA Inquires About Her Passport

Influencer Kate Cassidy recently shared her experience of feeling “ridiculed” by the TSA after facing scrutiny over her passport photo.

Cassidy, 27, took to TikTok on Friday, May 15, revealing that she was accused of using someone else’s passport due to recent cosmetic procedures. “I just got ridiculed at the Fort Lauderdale airport,” she expressed tearfully.

“I was in the security line when I handed my passport to the agent. They take your photo, and if it matches your passport, you move on; if not, you get stopped,” she explained, noting that she was flagged because her “photo didn’t match [her] actual appearance.”

Cassidy recounted how the worker called over another person to reassess her photo, which resulted in a “double take” for confirmation. “This woman kept insisting, ‘This isn’t you. You’re showing me someone else’s passport,’” she said.

“She asked, ‘New nose? New lips? Something to your eyes? New hair?’” Cassidy explained that she then presented her ID as proof of identity, but the worker still didn’t perceive the resemblance. “They said, ‘Those are three different people,’” she claimed.

Through her tears, she expressed, “I’m literally so f***ing embarrassed,” adding that she even offered to show her social media accounts to validate her identity.

“Remember, everyone in line is hearing this. While I understand they’re doing their job, I believe there are far better ways to approach and address such situations,” she stated. “This was so embarrassing. I’m just trying to fly home to see my sister graduate college,” Cassidy captioned the video, prompting a wave of comments from her followers.

“They don’t need to be mean! 💕🦋,” wrote one commenter, while another remarked, “That’s NOT the way to handle that type of situation.” A third follower suggested she “updates” her passport photo, commenting, “You’re gorgeous in both but there are noticeable differences, and if I didn’t know better, it does look like a different person. I’m not saying their treatment was right, but I understand why they sought additional IDs.” Cassidy “liked” that comment.

The social media star, who was in a relationship with Liam Payne for two years before his passing in October 2024, has been open about her cosmetic procedures. In June 2025, she revealed that she had received lip fillers, cheek fillers, chin fillers, Botox, and a nose job.
