Kylie Jenner Brings Back Naomi Campbell’s Iconic 1991 Catsuit Look
From the outset, Azzedine Alaïa was renowned for his strikingly sexy knits, and even after his passing in 2001, his iconic skin-tight designs continue to thrive, thanks to admirers like Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.
While attending Couture Fashion Week in Paris, Jenner, aged 27, drew inspiration from supermodel Naomi Campbell, who donned a similar outfit during Alaïa’s Fall 1991 runway show. Jenner’s take featured a reimagined version of the legendary catsuit: a dress adorned with the same sheer leopard spots and velvet cutouts.
Alaïa’s signature figure-hugging knits have always been transformative, introducing a bold sense of “animal magnetism” into his already captivating body-conscious silhouettes, particularly evident in his 1991 collection.

Alongside Campbell, 54, Beverly Peele and Christy Turlington also graced the catwalk in nearly identical ensembles, complete with matching black cashmere berets. This made Jenner’s choice to wear her micro-minidress in the City of Light particularly apt.
Before attending the day’s fashion shows, she captured a series of alluring selfies showcasing her outfit from every flattering angle. Posing in what seemed to be her vibrant red hotel room, Jenner radiated classic ’90s allure, complete with a glamorous blowout and her signature caramel-brown lip shade from Kylie Cosmetics, which she was seen applying in the mirror.
Jenner opted for a lip pencil with a slightly darker hue that highlighted her lip contours, a look reminiscent of the iconic ‘90s supermodel style—which also appeared on Alaïa’s Fall 1991 runway.
Not one to delay donning her remarkable wardrobe in public, she took to Instagram shortly before dining at Bar des Prés, a trendy crudo-centric hotspot that recently opened on the Right Bank, perfectly styled in her Parisian ensemble.
