Love Island USA Couple Engages in Secret Bedroom Encounter
This season of Love Island USA has made sexual encounters in the communal bedroom quite the norm, but one couple recently hit that milestone for the first time.
During the episode that aired on July 5, Trinity Tatum confided in Kayda Bosse about her night with Bryce Alakai Dettloff, describing it as “good” after they solidified their relationship in the villa.
Season 8 has been packed with moments where Islanders have taken their relationships to the next level. In a previous episode, Trinity mentioned overhearing someone engaging in “French fries,” which sounded “too wet” to merely be a kiss. Kenzie Annis, in a confessional, backed this up, stating she had a passionate moment with Corbin Mims.
“I was definitely getting some French fries. Feeling good,” she expressed. “We might have gotten a bit carried away, but I feel a strong connection with Corbin.”
From the clips shown, “French fries” seemed to suggest manual sex acts, like a hand job. Meanwhile, viewers speculated that it likely referred to an appetizer before a full meal.
Love Island USA made its debut in the U.K. in 2002 and has since expanded globally with various spin-offs, including Love Island USA on Peacock. The show features a new group of singles each season who must couple up to remain in the luxury villa.
The contestants, referred to as Islanders, live in a villa under constant video surveillance. They need to couple up to stay in the game and have a shot at the $100,000 prize.
While exploring deeper connections isn’t unusual, Season 7 of Love Island USA seemed to have set a record for the number of hookups — until Season 8 came along.
From Hannah Fields and Pepe Garcia to Huda Mustafa and Jeremiah Brown, the reality stars found inventive ways to discuss their encounters discreetly.
“We had a code name for intimacy,” Hannah revealed to Us Weekly in June 2025. “We would ask, ‘How was your journey? What was this journey like?’ Huda kicked it off by saying something like, ‘Oh, I had a journey. My journey went all the way.’”
Season 8 has ramped up the intimate moments in the villa, with several couples going all the way while sharing bedrooms. The stakes have only heightened with Casa Amor being introduced midway through Sunday’s episode.
