Neutrogena Responds to Tate McRae’s ‘Post-Show Routine’ Video
Neutrogena noticed your remarks on Tate McRae’s viral TikTok advertisement and had their own opinions.
“Heyyy, wow, I’ve been a bit disconnected. Just took a little digital detox after a massive festival weekend. You know the one I’m talking about. Wink, wink,” a spokesperson shared while reacting to the buzz online, using a face filter over a photo of the brand’s makeup remover, “And I logged in to see nine million notifications from all of you.”
The skincare brand expressed gratitude to all their fans who engaged with McRae’s post shared on August 1, where she faced criticism for hardly touching her face with the wipe.
“I see you and I hear you, girl,” the voice remarked. “I think I have some reflecting to do, too, you know? I’m really, like, really good at cleansing your face. But am I even better at attracting attention?”
“I’d like to thank everyone for the sudden spotlight. Please respect my privacy while I acclimate to the fame,” Neutrogena captioned the post.
Their followers quickly joined in on the laughter in the comments section.
“This is cracking me up hahaha, not the ‘adjusting to fame’ PLEASE 😂,” one commented, while another added, “We adore an unbothered diva 😂.” A third user noted, “I’m speechless, you guys nailed this one 😭.”
This response followed after McRae, 23, created a “post-show routine” ad for Neutrogena, where she demonstrated her skincare regimen. Initially, the “Sports Car” singer picked up a makeup remover wipe and glided it across her face while keeping her eye makeup intact. She then applied the Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Water Cream and gently pressed it into her cheeks and forehead. Finally, she used the brand’s eye masks.
