Nia and Danny Share Their Thoughts on Dr. Dre and Michelle’s Hand-Holding Moment
The Valley stars Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko are sharing their thoughts after their castmate Michelle Saniei was seen holding hands with none other than rap icon Dr. Dre.
“I saw her today,” Danny, 42, told Us Weekly exclusively on Friday, May 1, during an accreditation celebration at Calamigos Ranch Resort & Spa. “We were doing some interviews for the show, and she’s quite secretive. I asked, ‘Hey, Michelle, what’s new? What’s happening?’ She replied, ‘Nothing. Everything’s normal, everything’s great.’ Come on, Michelle, anything to share?”
The voice actor added, “She said, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ Then she went, ‘It’s called privacy, Danny.’ One of the producers chimed in, ‘Privacy? You’re on a reality show!’”
Michelle, 37, and Dr. Dre, 61, were recently spotted holding hands in photos shared by the social media gossip account DeuxMoi. The couple was seen leaving the trendy restaurant Nobu together. Neither Michelle nor Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romell Young, have publicly commented on the photos or their relationship status.
Michelle’s ex and The Valley co-star Jesse Lally also weighed in on the rumored romance, acknowledging he didn’t foresee his ex-wife dating a hip-hop superstar. “Michelle’s divorced and she’s single, and whatever makes her happy is cool,” Jesse, 45, told TMZ on Tuesday, April 28. “I didn’t get a heads-up. I found out on social media just like everyone else.”
Michelle and Jesse were married from 2018 to 2023 and share a daughter named Isabella, 6. Following their tumultuous breakup, Michelle dated Aaron Nosler, but they parted ways in July 2025 after just a year together.
Jesse continued, “The Dr. Dre situation—didn’t see that coming. [Michelle didn’t] listen to rap music, so dating Dr. Dre is surprising, but good for her.”
Danny joked with Us on Friday that he’s “looking forward” to collaborating with Dr. Dre in season 4 of The Valley.
“I don’t know if we’ll be compensated,” he laughed at an event featuring Crazy Mountain beverages. “He’ll probably take a big portion of the budget, but it will definitely be an exciting journey.”
“She deserves to have fun, because she’s been through a lot,” Nia added regarding Michelle and her newfound single status. “It was clear that she and Jesse weren’t good together, and her relationship with Aaron didn’t work out either. I just want her to enjoy herself. She deserves it.”
