Zach Bates and Whitney Welcome Their Sixth Baby in the Bringing Up Bates Series

Bringing Up Bates stars Zach and Whitney Bates have welcomed a new addition to their family.

“One of the most beautiful birth experiences I’ve ever had, filled with moments I’ll cherish forever 😭💕🥹,” Whitney, 32, shared on Instagram on Monday, April 27, featuring a video of Zach, 37, assisting in the delivery of their sixth child.

She added, “Nothing compares to that initial moment holding your newborn. From my very first birth with Dr. Vick helping with Bradley, each experience has been precious and unforgettable. Dr. Martin and her team made this birth incredibly special, and we are so thankful to them and Fort Sanders hospital for all their efforts!”

Zach and Whitney, who tied the knot in December 2013, have previously welcomed Bradley in October 2014, Kaci in June 2016, Khloé in November 2019, Jadon in June 2021, and Lily in August 2023.

The couple announced in September 2025 that they were expecting their sixth child.

“POV: telling your husband you’re pregnant even though he’s been predicting it for days,” she wrote in an Instagram video capturing the amusing moment.

In the video, Zach mentioned he had suspected something was up because she had been “so tired” and had a “glow” lately.

“You don’t need to show me,” he said about her positive pregnancy test. “Just give me a hug.”

Whitney was initially doubtful about Zach’s hunch until seeing the pregnancy test results for herself.

“It’s funny that he told me first for days, and I didn’t believe him … 😂,” she captioned the post. “I really bought the test to prove him wrong, but I’m happy he was right 🥹😍🍼💫.”

In October 2025, Whitney shared how she and Zach informed their five kids about their upcoming sibling.

“Before announcing it to everyone else, we took Brad and Kaci (the two oldest) out for a special dinner to share the news about baby No. 6 first. ❤️,” she wrote on Instagram. “They’ve always wanted to visit the special steakhouse where Zach and I have our date nights, so we treated them! They had been asking for months if we were having another baby, and that moment after a delightful dinner was unforgettable for us! Plus, letting them surprise the younger three at home is a memory we’ll cherish forever! 🥲✨.”

The following month, Whitney revealed the baby’s sex and announced she was having a girl. The family played a fun game of cupcake roulette to discover the news, with only one of the kids finding pink icing in their treat.

“We’ve done this several times, but it still feels equally special every time 🥹💕 Watching their expressions, hearing their guesses, and feeling that rush of excitement when we saw the color is a moment that never loses its charm ✨,” Whitney expressed on Instagram. “We love you so much, baby girl, and can’t wait to meet you 🫶🏼.”
