Pacific Palisades Fire in Los Angeles: Which Celebrities Are Impacted?
Los Angeles experienced a terrifying weather event that has significantly affected its celebrity-rich community.
An intense wind storm, triggered by Santa Ana winds, ignited rapidly spreading brush fires around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Motorists along Sunset Boulevard and Palisades Drive had to leave their vehicles in search of safety, as reported by the Los Angeles Times.
Evacuations took place in local areas, including the upscale neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, situated approximately 20 miles west of Downtown L.A., known for its lavish residences favored by A-list stars.
Among those affected are famous names such as Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, Reese Witherspoon, Adam Sandler, Michael Keaton, Miles Teller, Michael Mann, Ann Sarnoff, Alan Bergman, Kathleen Kennedy, and Carol Lombardini, all of whom call this exclusive area home.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the National Weather Service classified the wind storm as a “particularly dangerous situation… Red Flag Warning event.” This alert affected regions including Malibu, San Gabriel Valley, San Fernando Valley, Beverly Hills, Hollywood Hills, Santa Monica Mountains, San Gabriel Mountains, Eastern Ventura Valley, and coastal areas near the Sepulveda Pass, according to the publication.
The Associated Press indicated that over 13,000 structures were deemed “at risk.” The cause of the fires remains unverified.
See below for a list of celebrities impacted by these wildfires:

“My haven in Malibu has supported me through some of the toughest times in my life. I have loved creating, decorating, building, caring for, and safeguarding it,” she expressed. “Every moment spent there has been cherished. As the encroaching fire draws near, I pray for it—and for everyone in Los Angeles. This is truly a harrowing moment for my community.”
Lee continued, “As the fire threatens our very doorstep, let’s maintain contact with one another; in crises like these, community is our lifeline. We are safe, but the fire inches closer to my paradise in Malibu.”
Kate Beckinsale
Beckinsale, 51, expressed her sorrow over her neighborhood’s devastation via Instagram.
“Hearing the winds last night, I prayed. I anticipated it would be severe—we had to evacuate several times while living there—but the reality of the Palisades being annihilated is horrifying beyond belief,” she shared. “My daughter [Lily] and I resided there during most of her childhood, and now so much of that is gone. Her primary school, every shop or restaurant we frequently visited with my parents and Michael [Sheen]’s parents, and tragically, so many friends’ homes. My heart is shattered.”
Cameron Mathison
The General Hospital actor, 55, disclosed that his home was lost to the fires, sharing on Instagram: “We are safe, but this is all that remains of our beautiful home. This is where our children grew up and where they envisioned raising their families someday.”

There are families and pets who truly need assistance.”

Just a quick note to let you know we managed to evacuate safely. I’m uncertain if our home still stands at this moment, but sadly, houses on our street have been lost.”
On Friday, January 10, Woods provided an update on his home via X. “A miracle occurred,” the actor shared along with a video showing the fire’s extensive damage to neighboring homes.
“We were able to reach our property, and the home we thought was lost forever remains standing,” he continued. “In this harrowing landscape, the term ‘standing’ is relative, but the smoke damage and other issues don’t match the total devastation surrounding us.”

A heartfelt thank you to every first responder risking their lives for us. I appreciate each friend reaching out, and every new person I’ve embraced in tears over the past day. 💔🙏🏻.”

I pray for everyone in our beautiful city. It’s heartbreaking to witness such destruction and loss. I’m uncertain if our home survived.”
Moore recently moved to this Spanish Revival home after completing a major renovation.
Lamentably, later on Wednesday, Moore shared that her kids’ school—among other local fixtures—had been completely destroyed.
“Sending love to Altadena. Grateful my family and pets got out last night before it was too late (endless appreciation to friends for taking us in and providing clothes and blankets),” she shared on Instagram along with footage of their evacuation. “Honestly, I’m in shock and numb at the overwhelming loss faced by so many, including my family. Our children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants are leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything as well. Our community is shattered, but we will band together to rebuild. Sending strength to all affected.”

Josh Gad
Gad expressed on Wednesday that he’d “never” witnessed such “devastation” in his 20 years residing in Los Angeles.

“Selfishly, I wanted to be here to say we loved our neighborhood and that we still do; it was an incredible community. We have evacuated, and I believe our home is also lost. I learned this news from a stranger, which was a surreal experience,” she told the news anchor. “However, it was amazing witnessing the efforts of those going in to help. I remember fire station 69 and all the firefighters we knew—they organized bake sales and toy drives… they are as integral to our neighborhood as anyone else, and I can only imagine how challenging their tasks now must be.”

It’s where Phoenix took his first steps, and where we envisioned creating a lifetime of memories with London.”

In the statement, they added, “Janice and I have been at our home since 1979. We raised our children and grandchildren there. Every corner of our house was filled with love, rich memories that can never be taken away. We are, of course, heartbroken, but with the support of our children and friends, we will endure. After conveying this warning, Hough updated her followers with a follow-up video taken in a car alongside her dog, Sunny.
“Sunny and I are safe, and we’re on the road, but the reason I urge immediate evacuation, even if it’s not near you, is that traffic will ensue,” she explained. “And being stuck in traffic is dangerous. Photos can be recovered, but a drawing is irreplaceable.”

The house where I installed a keypad instead of a keyhole so all my family and friends could have access, using a code whenever they wanted. This was the house that represented my strength after battling racist neighbors, where I had to buy it in a trust within a trust just so a lone Black woman with a teenager wouldn’t face hostility as she purchased this estate on the exclusive beach. This was my ultimate ‘EFF YOU, I’m here’ house,” she expressed, in part. “Now it is gone. This is unthinkable loss.
