“I’ve got three [dogs] in this house now, so we essentially have five kids,” the Duke of Sussex shared during an October 2022 conference call with WellChild Awards recipients. “I have a black Labrador named Pula, a rescue beagle called Guy, and we’ve also got another rescue beagle named Mia. Between the three of them, they spend their days chasing squirrels, but they also provide emotional support when they are well-behaved.”
Meghan — who wed Harry in 2018 — adopted Guy prior to her royal wedding. Shortly after their marriage, the couple — who are parents to son Archie, born in 2019, and daughter Lilibet, born in 2021 — welcomed Pula into their family. Mia (full name Mamma Mia) joined them in August 2022.
Nearly three years later, Meghan announced that Guy had passed away.
