Sofia Richie’s $1,300 Glittering Shoes Delight Daughter Eloise

Sofia Richie Grainge has fully embraced motherhood just months after the arrival of her daughter Eloise.

“Choose shoes that keep your little one entertained,” Sofia, 26, wrote in an Instagram Story on Thursday, December 26. The photo featured Sofia in a pair of embellished Alaïa flats, priced at $1,290. In the image, her daughter, whom she shares with husband Elliot Grainge, was seen reaching out to grab the shoes.

Although Sofia and Elliot, 31, have not yet revealed their daughter’s face publicly, they have been sharing glimpses of her life since Eloise’s birth in May.

This isn’t the first occasion Sofia has showcased her daughter’s emerging sense of style. Earlier this month, their 6-month-old was seen holding Sofia’s Chanel purse in an adorable mother-daughter moment shared on social media.

“Just having some fun,” Sofia captioned the picture.

The couple sparked dating rumors in January 2021 and went Instagram official by April of that same year. The following year, Sofia revealed their engagement, and they wed in April 2023.

This past January, Sofia shared the news of her pregnancy. By May, she and Elliot welcomed their baby girl into the world.

“My life makes so much sense now,” Sofia expressed regarding her motherhood journey during a November episode of the “Therapuss” podcast. “I’ve never loved anything more. I’m absolutely obsessed with her; she’s perfect. And I’ve lost 50 pounds.”

She and podcast host and close friend Jake Shane shared a laugh at this revelation. Sofia went on to talk about her pregnancy experience and the advice she offers to friends who are expecting.

“It was beautiful. This is what I tell my friends,” she explained. “I’m like, ‘Things got a bit crazy.’ But I always felt empowered throughout. I was in awe of what I could achieve.”

Sofia also mentioned, “But I did gain 60 pounds.”

In October, she opened up about her birthing experience and postpartum health challenges during the “SHE MD” podcast. Sofia shared that she was induced at 38 weeks and had an “emotionally draining” delivery. Following Eloise’s birth, she felt like she “blew up like a balloon” and was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia.

“From the moment Eloise was born, I felt like, ‘I cannot miss a single moment. I want to be there for every awake time. I don’t want anyone else caring for my child,’” Sofia recalled. “I wouldn’t have had a child if I wasn’t prepared for that commitment. My mom guilt has been about balancing these feelings.”
