Temptation Island Season 9 Couples: Which Relationships Endured and Which Did Not?
Temptation Island posed the intriguing question of whether long-term couples could withstand various temptations – like interacting with attractive singles. But which couples are still intact, and who has parted ways?
This reality television series first premiered on FOX, showcasing four couples who were not married. They traveled to a tropical paradise to have their loyalty tested. Throughout two weeks, the couples were separated and urged to spend time with singles attempting to sway them into infidelity.
Hosted by Mark L. Walberg, Temptation Island aired from 2001 to 2003 and later returned on USA from 2019 to 2023. Despite facing significant criticism from viewers due to its provocative premise, the show has continued producing new episodes, with plans for a move to Netflix in 2025.

Alexa Santamaria and Lino Troisi
After their time on the island together, Alexa and Lino announced their engagement.
“Lino and I are a team,” Alexa shared with Netflix’s Tudum in March 2025 about their “unbreakable” bond. “Everything we said during the [experiment] was with the other person in mind.”
The couple has set their wedding date in Sorrento, Italy, for the fall of 2026.
Shante Glover and Brion Whitley
Brion and Shante are currently in a relationship but are not in a hurry to tie the knot. Throughout the season, they faced numerous challenges together, including engaging with other women, which led Shante to decide to support Brion.
“As frustrating as it may be, I don’t think we would have had those conversations if those experiences hadn’t occurred,” she shared with Tudum in March 2025. “We might have just spiraled without truly understanding each other’s feelings.”
They are in therapy while preparing to cohabitate. “I even shed tears discussing my upbringing—something I hadn’t contemplated in years,” Brion reflected. “It was a significant lesson for me in recognizing the value of the woman I have.”
Tyler Breshears and Tayler Bird
As Season 9 concluded, Tayler departed the island alone, while Tyler chose to remain with a new contestant, Kay. Tyler has since split from both women, but he’s moved on with someone special. Tayler is currently single and focusing on her mental well-being, while Kay rekindled her relationship with an ex before embarking on a new romance with an unidentified individual.
Ashley Moore and Grant Larsen
The finale in March 2025 confirmed that Ashley chose to leave with Danny, while Grant opted to exit the island solo. Though they briefly reconciled, Ashley and Grant have now called it quits for good and are both single.
“I had a long period of being single before Grant, and I was comfortable with it,” Ashley shared with Tudum. “I need to ensure that people’s words and actions align; I can’t keep giving someone chances just because they plead for them.”
Reflecting on his journey, Grant remarked, “I feel I was misaligned with my true self. The distractions were overwhelming, and my decisions were not well thought out. I don’t regret anything except Ashley having to witness it all.”
