Tyla’s 2025 Met Gala Gown Redefined Elegance
Tyla is rapidly becoming a standout celebrity on fashion’s grandest stage, as she showcased once again at the 2025 Met Gala held on Monday, May 5, in New York.
Last year, the musician perfectly embodied the “Garden of Time” dress code with a custom Balmain sculpture crafted from actual sand, complemented by a glass hourglass filled with sand as her purse.
This year, Tyla reached another sartorial pinnacle, reflecting her dedication to the 2025 costume exhibition theme, “Superfine: Black Tailoring,” and the dress code “Tailored for You” in a bespoke Jacquemus outfit that highlighted her distinctive flair.
She donned an elegant white-and-navy pinstripe gown adorned with a matching blazer, a delicate diamond choker, and gold stud earrings. The blazer flowed into an extended train as she ascended the steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, reminding everyone of 2024 when she transformed her gown into a mini dress, as the previous piece of art was too constricting for a night of dancing at the gala.
Her glam was equally captivating on Monday, featuring a blonde pixie cut styled in soft waves, along with neutral-toned makeup.

Monday marked Tyla’s second appearance at the Costume Institute’s annual gala.
“When Balmain presented the concept and sketch, I immediately knew it was the one,” Tyla shared with Vogue on the red carpet last May. “The concept was bold, and I adored it. I’m excited and a bit nervous, but I can’t wait for a fun night at The Met!”
Tyla has solidified her place among the best-dressed at the Met Gala alongside icons like Rihanna and Zendaya.
