What Questions Does Brian Entin Have for Savannah Guthrie Regarding Nancy?

After reporting on Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance for over 65 days, NewsNation’s senior national correspondent Brian Entin is eager to sit down with a close family member.

“I would love to interview Savannah [Guthrie], and I’ve been trying to make that happen behind the scenes,” Entin, 40, told Us Weekly on Wednesday, April 8. “If anyone reading this has a connection, that would be incredible because I deeply empathize with her and her family’s ordeal.”

While Entin watched Savannah’s heartfelt interview with Hoda Kotb on the Today show last month, he looks forward to having his own discussion with Nancy’s daughter about various topics.

“I would love to inquire more about her relationship with her mother and also discuss the investigation,” Entin expressed. “I grasp what her interview with Today was like, especially with Hoda, being her friend, but there are some follow-ups I’d like to understand — like what they experienced when they first learned what happened and their thoughts on what may have occurred behind the scenes.”

Savannah Guthrie has shared insights over the years about her close bond with her mother, Nancy Guthrie. Savannah and her siblings — sister Annie and brother Camron — were raised by Nancy and their father Charles before his unfortunate passing at 49 from a heart attack. “[My mom] is incredibly strong. She’s hard like iron and granite,” […]

News surfaced on February 1 that Nancy, 84, was reported missing in Tucson, Arizona, after failing to attend a virtual church service. Entin traveled to Nancy’s hometown the following day, dedicating nearly 43 consecutive days in her city. He continues to make regular visits and intends to keep doing so.

“I have become emotionally invested. As a journalist, you’re often advised to maintain a distance, but it’s tough, especially when you immerse yourself in cases like this one,” Entin elaborated. “I connect with everyone involved.”

He shared that he often thinks about his own mother as she ages. During a brief visit away from Tucson, he knew exactly what to get her.

“The first time I returned home, I installed security cameras for her. She didn’t have any! My mom lives alone—how could she not have them? That aspect really resonates with me. Being an only child, I have a close relationship with my mom, which might explain my deep involvement in this case.”

Although Nancy’s disappearance leaves many questions unanswered, Entin remains optimistic that the case will eventually be resolved. He eagerly anticipates receiving news of a significant breakthrough.

“Based on everything I know and my instincts, I genuinely believe this case will see a resolution,” Entin stated to Us. “I have sources and am aware of how diligently they’re working behind the scenes.
