Carly Rae Jepsen Welcomes Her First Child with Cole M.G.N.

Carly Rae Jepsen and her husband, Cole M.G.N., have officially welcomed their first child.

“The last two weeks have been the best of my life,” Jepsen, 40, shared via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, March 17. “Welcome to the world, little one.”

The artist posted a mirror selfie cradling her newborn, confirming the baby’s arrival earlier this month.

Jepsen and Cole (real name Cole Marsden Greif-Neill) began dating in 2022 after meeting during a songwriting session in the prior year. The couple announced their engagement in September 2024 and tied the knot one year later in New York City in October 2025.

“In life, we often imagine things, and while the reality can be good, it’s rarely as good as we expect. This day felt like the exception—it exceeded both of our wildest dreams,” Jepsen expressed to Vogue about her wedding with Cole. “We felt connected throughout the entire event, which was essential for us. We even arranged a few special songs in the DJ’s playlist so that, no matter where we were, those songs would bring us back together.”

At the time, Jepsen hinted that her plans for a family with Cole influenced her choice of wedding attire.

“Knowing that we were trying to get pregnant, I wanted an alternative dress that was more flowy, which I could use for the ceremony or switch into for dancing,” she explained regarding her choice to wear a strapless corseted gown by Australian designer Toni Maticevski for the ceremony and a tiered dress by New York designer Danielle Frankel for the reception.

One month after the wedding, Jepsen announced her pregnancy with the couple’s first child.

“Oh hi baby,” she captioned a collection of black-and-white Instagram photos featuring her and Cole cradling her bare baby bump while sitting in bed.

Later in November 2025, Jepsen posted photos from her combined “babymoon/honeymoon” while she and Cole relaxed at the beach. She also provided a pregnancy update, writing in another post, “Hiking at a pace much slower than usual. If snacks were essential before, they are vital now. [Tomorrow] marks six months.”

That same month, Jepsen celebrated her 40th birthday while eagerly anticipating her little one’s arrival.

“Forty and fabulous! Milestone birthday,” she exclaimed via Instagram. “If I’m doing this right, things will get even weirder from here. I plan to embrace all the wild outfits, continue exploring music and art, and tackle this new chapter head-on (sometimes with a fuzzy hat). Here’s to more adventures, incredible friendships, traveling with a baby (help!), and just more love overall. Can’t wait for it all. ♥️.”
