Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep Dazzle in Red at Film Premiere

Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep were the highlight of the evening at the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere.

On Monday, April 20, in New York City, Hathaway, 43, and Streep, 76, showcased coordinated looks on the red carpet. Hathaway, reprising her role as Andrea “Andy” Sachs, dazzled in a striking cherry Louis Vuitton gown that featured a strapless neckline and fitted corset bodice, flowing into a dramatic pleated skirt.

To complete her ensemble, Hathaway opted for red strappy heels and Bulgari jewelry, including ruby and diamond dangling earrings, a matching ring, and a rose gold ring.

Her makeup was flawless, showcasing dewy skin, smoky brown eyeshadow, black eyeliner, blushed cheeks, and pink lips. Hathaway styled her brunette locks in loose curls with a side part.

Streep also caught eyes in a glamorous Givenchy by Sarah Burton design, featuring a cape dress that tied at the neck. She accessorized with black gloves, boots, and sunglasses, adding sparkle with diamond earrings.

For her makeup, Streep embraced blushed cheeks and pink lips, with her hair elegantly parted and brushed back. Portraying Miranda Priestly in the film, she offered the camera a gentle smile while posing.

The two stars also posed alongside Emily Blunt (Emily Charlton) and Stanley Tucci (Nigel) as they made their way down the red carpet.

Blunt, 43, impressed in a Schiaparelli creation featuring a feathered bodice and layered skirt, enhanced with a pearl choker and matching bracelet.

Previously, Hathaway expressed her hopes for filmgoers to embrace stylish outfits at the movie theater for the sequel, which arrives two decades after the original.

“I’m hoping everybody dresses up and goes to the movies,” she shared with Vogue in February. “I hope people remember how much fun they had wearing hot pink and going to see Barbie. I’m hoping that everybody puts on their favorite Miranda Priestly-approved outfit and just has a blast.”

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to hit theaters on May 1.
