Sydney Sweeney Appears Transformed in Eden Movie Trailer
Sydney Sweeney underwent a significant transformation for her latest film, Eden.
In the thriller trailer released on Wednesday, June 25, Sweeney, 27, appeared almost unrecognizable. The actress, portraying Margaret Wittmer, traded her iconic blonde locks and glamorous style for a more natural look, showcasing brunette hair. She opted for a makeup-free appearance, with her hair styled in a side part and twisted into an updo, allowing some flyaways to frame her face.
Departing from her usual sultry attire, the costumes for Margaret feature more subdued outfits, including a gray dress with a relaxed collar, puffy sleeves, and an all-over polka dot pattern.
As per IMDb, Eden revolves around “a group of individuals driven by a deep desire for change; to detach from society, they abandon everything and pursue their futures in the harsh terrain of the Galapagos.” Sweeney stars alongside Jude Law, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, among others.
This isn’t the first instance where Sweeney has transformed herself for a role. Earlier this month, she shared her experience of gaining over 30 pounds to play Christy Martin in a biopic.
“When I agreed to play Christy, I had about three and a half months of training. I began eating more. I weight-trained in the morning for an hour, kickboxed for around two hours in the afternoon, and weight-trained again at night for another hour,” she shared with W Magazine.
She continued, “None of my clothes fit me anymore. Typically, I wear a size 23 in jeans, but I ended up in a size 27. My breasts grew larger, and my butt became quite voluptuous. It was wild! I thought, ‘Oh my goodness!’”
Sweeney expressed her enjoyment of her new physique and pride in becoming “incredibly strong.”
