“It’s such a beautiful moment. It’s really sweet and not over the top,” Breckenridge expresses regarding the wedding.

Nevertheless, drama unfolds. Chaos erupts on their wedding day when Mel’s biological father Everett (John Allen Nelson) suffers a heart attack.

Breckenridge reveals that the discussion between Mel and Doc at the hospital post-Everett’s heart attack was particularly challenging to film.

With Everett stabilizing, the couple decides to proceed with their wedding plans, even though it would be tempting to stall until the father of the bride recovers.

While preparing with her bridesmaids, Mel asks to talk to Jack privately. She confides in him, expressing that although she feels immensely lucky, there’s a sense of unease.
