Is Amanda Stanton onto something by suggesting that Taylor Swift may be drawing style inspiration from her? This may just be a case for the FBI—or perhaps for Us Weekly.
The Bachelor alum, 34, took to Instagram on Sunday, December 29, to humorously speculate whether Swift, 34, is keeping an eye on her outfits. “OK, I know it might be a stretch and I’m *partially* joking, but I couldn’t help but notice that after I wore an embellished black jacket six days ago (totally different style of coat but similar concept), here’s Taylor tonight in NYC,” she captioned a photo of Swift in a Simkhai coat while out on a date with Travis Kelce. Stanton believes this look mirrors her Curtis jacket from Misa Los Angeles.
She added, “If this was the only time it happened, I wouldn’t think twice about it, but this is practically the seventh time, so I’m paying closer attention, and it just … keeps happening.”
While Swift adapted the look to her own style with a pleated mini dress by Fleur du Mal and Stanton opted for black pants, both stars accessorized with silver elements. Swift shined in diamond dangling earrings by De Beers ($34,900) and a glittering Stella McCartney bag ($2,450), while Stanton enhanced her outfit with shimmery earrings by Mignonne Gavigan and silver-beaded black heels.
