Ariana Grande has returned to her brunette look.
Grande, 32, dyed her hair brown after sporting blonde locks for her role as Glinda in Wicked. The actress showcased her newly dyed hair on Instagram on Wednesday, October 29. Posing in front of a mirror and making a kissy face, she revealed her chocolate brown locks, styled in glamorous curls and parted to the side, with strands tucked behind her ears.
She paired her hair with a flawless makeup look featuring defined brows, winged eyeliner, and long lashes. Her radiant cheeks were contoured, and she finished off the look with glossy lips.
“It’s good to see me, isn’t it? 🫧,” Grande captioned the post, referencing her iconic Glinda line. She also tagged her hairstylist, Francesco De Chiara, and her makeup artist, Michael Anthony. Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise for her new hairstyle.
“Ahhh brown hair is back!! 🤎😍,” one fan exclaimed, while another commented, “looove this hair colour on you.” A third user added, “Brownie babyyyyyy😍,” as many others shared brown heart emojis.
Previously, Grande sported honey blonde hair while portraying Glinda in Wicked and Wicked: For Good, set to premiere on November 21.
The singer discussed her decision to dye her hair blonde for Wicked, revealing that although she wore wigs during filming, she felt it was pivotal to lighten her hair to “deconstruct her pop persona” and embody Glinda.
Along with her bright new hairstyle, Grande also bleached her brows, playfully discussing this in January while speaking with Variety.
“Glinda required a lot of vocal work for me,” she explained. “Certain aspects, maybe, will stay with us forever. I’m really thankful for the parts that will remain, which is a beautiful sentiment.”
She added with a laugh, “And, you know, I’m still searching for my eyebrows. I’ll definitely update you if I find them — fingers crossed I don’t.”
In September 2023, Grande humorously referenced her brows while sharing her makeup routine in an episode of Vogue’s “Beauty Secrets” series.
“I’m going to break the routine a bit and start by filling in my eyebrows because I’m sure they’re bothering you too,” she joked. “I’m half Glinda right now. I’ve been bleaching my eyebrows for a year and definitely need a touch-up.”
Grande then used the MAC Eyebrow Styler in the shade Fling to fill in her brows.
In November, she candidly discussed her glam while portraying Glinda, expressing her love for the character’s aesthetic. “Glinda’s makeup truly transformed my entire look and my relationship with makeup,” she stated in an Instagram video.
“There’s no heavy eyeliner or thick creases; it’s just warm, open, and pretty, with cat-shaped lashes that provide the eye lift I usually adore,” Grande added. “It’s a more honest representation of who you are.”
