Ashley and Tyler from Love Is Blind Part Ways Amid Sperm Donor Controversy

Love Is Blind season 7 participant Ashley Adionser has parted ways with her husband Tyler Francis after one year of marriage.

“After careful consideration, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for some time and have now made the tough choice to end our marriage,” Adionser, 32, stated in a message to People on Tuesday, January 21. “While I had hoped for mutual understanding and honesty in our relationship, it has become apparent that our paths are no longer in sync, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage.”

Adionser noted that the choice to end things was difficult, but emphasized that it was “necessary.”

“This was not an easy decision, but one that I believe is essential for my own growth and peace,” she continued. “Although this chapter is closing, I will always cherish the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal period as I focus on healing and creating a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

During their season of Love Is Blind, which premiered in October 2024, Adionser and Francis developed a connection and got engaged in the pods. After their first face-to-face meeting, Adionser received her engagement ring, and the couple embarked on a romantic getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Following their romantic trip, Adionser and Francis started living together in Washington D.C. as a “trial marriage.” It was during this time that Francis disclosed he had fathered multiple children. The military veteran shared that he had donated sperm to a friend who was unable to conceive.

“You’ve been going around telling everyone we’re getting married, yet you’ve also been saying you want to have kids now. It’s like, ‘Whoa,’” Adionser expressed in an October 2024 episode. “How did you even discuss any of that? I just can’t wrap my head around it without considering your past at all?”

Despite her initial upset over Francis withholding that information, the couple eventually tied the knot and said “I do.” Adionser later shared that the children’s birth mother reached out to her to offer an apology.

“She contacted me on Instagram and apologized to Tyler and me. [She] said she’s praying for us and never meant for things to turn out this way. She didn’t want to say too much in this forum,” she recounted on a November 2024 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “She also mentioned that it was fine if I never wanted to respond and that she understands my world is chaotic right now, and she never intended to cause me any pain.”
