Since its premiere in 2019, fans have been captivated by the stars of Welcome to Plathville, with the romantic lives of the family becoming a major focus of the series.
This TLC show chronicles the lives of Kim Plath and her estranged spouse Barry Plath, along with eight of their nine children: Ethan, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, Isaac, Amber, Cassia, and Mercy. Their eldest daughter, Hosanna Plath, does not appear in the show.
As the children matured, their romantic relationships took center stage, particularly Ethan’s marriage to and subsequent divorce from Olivia Plath.
Following their separation in 2023, Olivia stated that much of the conflict stemmed from Ethan’s family allegedly trying to control their relationship and manage their lives.
When Micah began his relationship with Veronica Peters that same year, the family could not foresee that she would also attribute the blame for their breakup to the Plaths.
“I’m just getting gaslit by everybody,” Veronica expressed in an August 2025 episode, which aired a month after she confirmed their separation.
