Hoda Kotb’s Heartwarming Family Collection: Cherished Moments with Daughters and Loved Ones
Hoda Kotb has frequently expressed how her family, particularly her daughters, Haley and Hope, have shaped her life.
The Today anchor embraced motherhood when she adopted her daughters in 2017 and 2019, alongside her former partner, Joel Schiffman. The two became engaged in 2019 after six years of dating but ended their relationship in 2022.
In her parenting journey, Hoda has often acknowledged her mother, Sameha Kotb, as a significant influence. “She was an incredible mom. She had a firm hand,” she shared with Today in 2016. “That’s how we were raised. You understood what no meant. There was no ‘But everyone else is doing it.’ She truly didn’t care what anyone else was doing.”
After parting ways with Schiffman, Hoda reflected on the values she aimed to teach Haley and Hope.
“One thing I’m really focusing on with my girls is helping them find their voice,” she shared exclusively with Us Weekly in November 2022. “[Teaching them about] having the courage to express their needs and wants without feeling greedy or overbearing. … I want my girls to be outspoken and unafraid, to speak their minds, and not feel pressured to fit into what others expect.”
