At 55, Lopez shared her approach to selecting outfits for significant events as she prepared to host the 2025 American Music Awards on Monday, May 26.
“We just began our fittings yesterday and there’s an array of options,” the singer told People just before the awards. “I’m unsure what will eventually make it to the show … I anticipate a lot of last-minute choices.”
Lopez mentioned that although she may not finalize her attire in advance, she certainly has a clear vision for future events.
“I collaborate with my stylist and we bounce ideas around about the vibe we want for the performance and hosting duties,” she remarked. “My preferences shift month-to-month; it’s like, ‘Who do I want to embody today?’ since I feel that there are numerous facets to my fashion identity.”
For quick outfit changes, the actress relies on a supportive backstage team to keep everything on track.
This year’s AMAs saw Lopez don eight different outfits. Styled by Rob Zangardi, she kicked off the evening on the red carpet in a stunning Defaïence number with daring cutouts and a thigh-high slit. This initial look was just a taste of what was to follow as she took to the stage.
While on stage, she wowed the audience in a sequined catsuit, later transitioning into a silver halter dress by Miss Sohee, complete with a striking blue cape — showcasing her effortlessly seductive fashion sense.
