Jennifer Love Hewitt Posts Makeup-Free Selfie: “For All My Ladies”
Jennifer Love Hewitt has been embracing self-love lately.
The 46-year-old actress posted a makeup-free selfie on Instagram on Sunday, March 23, expressing that she is “learning to appreciate the skin I’m in more every day.”
“This is for all the ladies out there who might be feeling the same. #nomakeup #nofilter,” she added.
In recent weeks, Hewitt has been advocating for self-love, sharing another natural selfie to celebrate her birthday on February 21.
“46 years young. No makeup and no filter. (This is for one of my besties who dislikes filters ❤️) It’s been a tough start to this year. I don’t quite feel like myself, but I sense that this may be a journey towards discovering who I’m truly meant to be,” Hewitt shared on Instagram.
The actress expressed gratitude for her family’s support as she faces the challenges of aging in the public eye. “Amidst the feelings of loss and being adrift, I’ve found a unique calm and acceptance that isn’t always easy for me,” she wrote. “I know I have the most wonderful kids and husband. My brother’s hugs are healing. I feel my mom’s presence with me each day. My friends inspire me to be the best version of myself.”
She continued: “I have everything I truly need and only long for joyful moments, the chance to continue in the career I love, more time with friends, exquisite food, and a shift this year that brings clarity and, hopefully, a bit of magic back.”
Hewitt also noted that navigating aging can be challenging, especially with the often unsolicited opinions of others.
“I’ve witnessed how unkind the world can be to women as they age, yet I see the women I admire becoming happier, sexier, and more empowered with every year that passes,” she wrote. “I’m incredibly thankful for this life. I cherish all those who choose to walk this path alongside me, and I’m ready to send love to both my younger and older selves because they are my ride or die. Here’s to love and cheers to 46! ❤️”
The actress revisited the subject in December 2024 while speaking with Fox News Digital.
“I feel like fans have an age in mind that they associate with you and expect you to never age beyond that,” she explained at the time. “For me, it was my 20s. People seem to struggle with the reality that I no longer look that way.”
She added, “Aging is just part of life. Women often reach a beautiful level of self-acceptance and comfort in their 40s.”
