Kylie Jenner Introduces New Kitten After the Passing of Her Dog Norman
Kylie Jenner has welcomed a new furry companion following the passing of her dog, Norman.
The 28-year-old star from The Kardashians took to Instagram Stories on Friday, November 7, to introduce her followers to an adorable white kitten. Jenner shared videos of the kitten playfully moving around her home and grooming itself, along with a heartfelt clip of her cuddling with her new pet and showering it with kisses.
While Jenner hasn’t yet revealed the kitten’s name or whether it will be a permanent member of her family, it’s evident that a strong bond has developed between them.
In October, Jenner announced the passing of her beloved Italian Greyhound, Norman, who was around “13 years old.”

“In Loving Memory of My Sweet Norman,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a series of photos celebrating her late pet. “I still remember the day I brought you home. I had never loved anything as much. Growing up, I always wanted an Italian Greyhound, but my mom never allowed it. Then, right after I turned 17, I got you for Christmas, and it was the best gift I could have asked for.”
Reflecting on Norman’s life, Jenner mentioned that he “[filled] my life and many others with pure joy.”
“Almost 13 years old, yet I know I’ll cherish the memories longer than our time together,” she wrote. “I wish I didn’t have to write this. I knew you were aging, and I tried to prepare for it, but losing you is incredibly tough, Norm.”
Jenner expressed her heartbreak over losing Norman, but she also felt grateful that “my kids got to meet you and love you.” (Kylie shares two children, Stormi Webster, 7, and Aire Webster, 3, with rapper Travis Scott.)
“My sweet Normyyyy. My heart aches for you,” she concluded. “Rest in peace, my precious Normandle. I love you always.”
Norman was a staple on Jenner’s social media during his younger days, as she often included him in her adventures. However, as he aged, he appeared less frequently in Jenner’s posts. (Norman’s official Instagram account was last updated in December 2017.)
In February 2019, Jenner directly addressed a fan who was concerned about Norman’s absence from her social media.
“What makes you think anything happened to my Norman?” she replied. “I don’t share my dogs as often, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t an important part of my life.”
Meanwhile, the Kardashian-Jenner family is celebrating a significant weekend following matriarch Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday on Wednesday, November 5. Us Weekly reported that all of Kris’s children joined forces to throw her a James Bond-themed birthday party on Saturday, November 8. (Kris shares Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Rob Kardashian with her late ex-husband Robert Kardashian, while her former spouse Caitlyn Jenner is the parent of Kylie and Kendall Jenner.)
Despite rumors suggesting the birthday celebration might double as a surprise wedding for Kris and her partner Corey Gamble, Us has confirmed there are no plans for the couple to wed at this time.
Kylie celebrated her mother’s birthday by posting a nostalgic photo from a Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode in which Kris got tattoos of her and Kendall’s names on her lower back.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE QUEEEEEEN,” Kylie expressed on Wednesday.
Earlier in the week, Kylie honored her older sister Kendall on her milestone 30th birthday with a series of celebratory photos accompanied by the caption: “We love you kenny butt.”
