Lindsay Lohan Posts Rare Snapshot of Her 2-Year-Old Son, Luai
Lindsay Lohan is incredibly proud of her role as a mother.
The Freaky Friday actress, 39, recently posted a rare photo of her 2-year-old son, Luai, on Instagram on Thursday, May 28, offering a peek into her motherhood journey.
In the image, Lohan smiles at the camera while embracing her little one. Although Luai’s face is turned away, he is shown giving his mom a kiss on the cheek.
“Lucky mama 🤍☺️✨,” the actress captioned her post, tagging her husband Bader Shammas, with whom she welcomed Luai in July 2023.
Lindsay’s mother, Dina Lohan, commented on the photo, “So beautiful hunny 🙏we are blessed #Godsgifttomoms #Grandmoms #Deedee.”
Lindsay has been open about wanting to protect her son’s privacy, having grown up in the public eye herself. To date, the Parent Trap actress has not shared a photo showing Luai’s face.
“It’s a topic my husband and I discuss frequently. ‘Do we want to show our son?’” she shared with the Times of London in August 2025. “We’ll know when the time is right, but it’s also a matter of protection.”
“I never want my family to go through what I did with the paparazzi. Those were frightening moments for me — I have severe PTSD from those experiences,” she added. “The most intrusive situations were truly unsettling, and I pray it doesn’t happen again. It’s unsafe and unfair.”
Lindsay and Shammas reside in Dubai, which she finds ideal for raising her child.
“Dubai offers a safe environment where we can live a normal life, separate from what I refer to as ‘the noise.’ My husband and I aim to determine what’s best for our child. It’s no longer about me,” she expressed.
“Children are so innocent, a blank slate, and they’re discovering everything for the first time — it’s beautiful,” she added. “I want to experience those moments with my son as if I’ve never seen them before.”
Lindsay celebrated Luai’s 2nd birthday in July 2025 with a heartfelt Instagram tribute.
“Happy Birthday to our sunshine, our sweetest boy, our heart, Luai! 💛 Watching you grow has been the greatest joy of our lives. You illuminate every space (and keep us all on our toes 😅), and we are so proud to be your mama and daddy,” she wrote. “You represent the deepest love we have ever known, the wildest adventure, and the most beautiful purpose. You’ve given our lives a whole new meaning, and we are thankful every single day.”
“Here’s to another year of cuddles, giggles, and magic. Me and Daddy love you more than words can express. 🎈🧸💫,” Lindsay concluded.
