Love Island USA’s Chelley and Ace Split Just Months After Finale
Love Island USA’s Chelley Bissainthe and Ace Greene are parting ways as 2025 draws to a close as a couple.
In a preview for the Monday, December 15, episode of SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Chelley confirmed her breakup with Ace after they connected on season 7 of the Peacock reality series.
“So, Ace and I have come to the decision to go our separate ways,” she informed cohosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy. “It was a difficult choice for both of us, but, you know, sometimes loving someone means allowing them to go free, and we reached that conclusion.”
Chelley noted that the choice to end their relationship was made with “mutual respect and understanding that we had hopes for this to work out, but sometimes it just doesn’t.”
“Couples face significant challenges, and sometimes the best step is to make a necessary choice,” she elaborated. “It was a mutual realization that, you know, this is for the best. I’ve certainly thought about our supporters and fans, but I believe they will understand that this decision was essential for both of us.”
Chelley and Ace formed a bond on Love Island USA season 7 this past summer after meeting briefly in real life months prior. Although they didn’t reach the finale, their connection blossomed in the villa and continued off-camera.
However, in November, some fans began speculating about their absence from the cast announcement for Love Island: Beyond the Villa season 2. This upcoming show will follow several contestants from season 7 of Love Island USA as they navigate life post-summer.
During her interview, Chelley was asked what went wrong in the relationship, but she has chosen not to comment further.
“Listen, many experiences happen in relationships, and I trust that people can relate. Out of respect for both of us, the specifics aren’t necessary. I think we can be at peace knowing we’re aligned.”
Although fans had a strong attachment to the couple, Chelley stated she never felt outside pressure to keep the relationship alive. Instead, she and Ace agreed to prioritize their relationship over media attention.
“It’s because I genuinely care for you and you for me, but challenges arise in relationships, and sometimes you simply need to say, ‘Let’s part amicably before it turns into something it doesn’t have to be,’” she explained. “We can cherish the positivity and love, you know?”
As she looks forward to 2026, Chelley aims to step away from the limelight and reality TV cameras.
“This journey involves a lot of healing, personal growth, and time spent with myself,” she shared. “I genuinely hope for privacy to focus on myself moving forward. We are here to connect with others; sometimes these connections last a lifetime, and other times they are merely fleeting moments. … Above all, I wish Ace and myself nothing but the best.”
Season 7 couples Nic Vansteenberghe and Olandria Carthen, along with Taylor Williams and Clarke Carraway, remain together. However, winners Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales ended their relationship in August.
SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio airs daily at 8 a.m. ET and is available anytime on the SiriusXM app.
