Paige DeSorbo has revealed her plans to freeze her eggs following her recent breakup with Craig Conover.

While discussing her health journey on the Tuesday, January 28, episode of her podcast, “Giggly Squad,” co-hosted by Hannah Berner, DeSorbo, 32, shared updates on her progress.

“On Monday, I’m going to my first appointment … to freeze my eggs,” DeSorbo announced, explaining that she “had wanted to do it … last year, probably in the spring.” (The exact date when DeSorbo and Conover, 35, ended their relationship isn’t clear, but she announced their split during the December 30 episode of her podcast.)

DeSorbo elaborated on her plans to schedule her initial medical appointment late last year. “I was like, OK, 2025, I’m freezing my eggs; it was on my to-do list because … I’m just going to take it easy this January and tackle a list of things I want to complete.”

The TV celebrity specified that she aims to start the process, known as oocyte cryopreservation, around “the beginning of March.” According to Healthline, this procedure involves “using medications to stimulate egg growth” before they are “harvested from the ovaries and frozen for future use.”

“The only catch is that I need to choose two weeks when I’ll be home because I have to administer the shots at the same time every night,” DeSorbo mentioned.

DeSorbo and Conover were in a relationship for three years before parting ways, with DeSorbo stating in her December announcement, “Craig and I have decided to no longer be together. I love him, I believe he loves me as well. I think we will remain friends. There was no wrongdoing; it wasn’t a negative situation.”

Despite their amicable split, Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, January 27, that Conover had unfollowed DeSorbo on Instagram. Additionally, Us reported the next day that Conover had been featured on the dating app Raya.

In the latest podcast episode, DeSorbo further explained her decision to freeze her eggs, expressing concerns about how the process may affect her body. “I’ve spoken to some women who mentioned that because you’re taking hormones … and then the egg retrieval, it can change your body,” she shared. “That made me anxious, but it was only a couple of girls [who] said that to me.”

Berner, 33, also voiced her worries for DeSorbo, noting that she is “someone who has PCOS,” referring to polycystic ovary syndrome. DeSorbo didn’t delve into this topic but remarked that she has “always known” she would eventually freeze her eggs.

“When I first thought about freezing my eggs, it wasn’t out of career concerns; I genuinely imagined I’d have a child by 32,” DeSorbo shared. “However, I’ve always wondered what would happen if I reached 39-40 and realized I wanted another child.”

She continued, “Now it feels different; it’s a form of security for me … but it’s also bringing me a sense of calm to know that I’m taking this step.”

DeSorbo mentioned that in preparation for the procedure, she has ceased “smoking weed” and as a result, has found more enjoyment in life.
