RHOSLC’s Britani Bateman Reveals Her Take on ‘Fruity Pebbles’ Sex
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Britani Bateman has commented on the now-notorious “fruity pebbles” controversy concerning Utah.
“[Bret Engemann] is the ex-husband of one of my best friends, Angie Harrington,” Britani, 54, shared during the episode of SiriusXM’s The John Hill Show on Tuesday, December 2. “Angie is a beautiful person inside and out, and she speaks very highly of Bret and Demi too. She’s just a class act.”
Recently, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann and her husband Bret found themselves in the spotlight when co-star Jessi Ngatikaura seemingly disclosed sensitive — and controversial — details about their purported sex life.
“I think I’m just going to say that grandpa Bret enjoys drinking her piss like it’s dirty soda,” Jessi, 33, claimed via her Instagram Story on November 25. “He gulps it like water. And that’s what fruity pebbles means.”
Shortly after, Demi, 30, offered her own viewpoint in a separate Instagram Story.
“What my husband and I experienced once behind closed doors was a consensual and private matter within our marriage,” she stated. “This is simply a desperate effort to divert attention from her own actions.”
While Britani clarified that Angie has not and will not discuss the “fruity pebbles” situation, the Bravo star did speculate about what might actually be happening.
“This is, I believe, what’s occurring. I’m so embarrassed,” Britani told host John Hill while stifling laughter. “For some reason, Mormons treat sex as the ultimate indulgence, right? They don’t drink, smoke, or use drugs. Sex is their only approved vice if you’re married.”
She continued, “So what I suspect is happening is that you know what squirting is? I’m blushing right now… I don’t think anyone actually pulls up their skirt and pees in someone’s mouth. I doubt that’s the case, but I believe there’s some squirting involved. I can’t believe we’re discussing this.”
The “fruity pebbles” drama is set to unfold further in upcoming episodes of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Hulu announced last month that the show has been renewed for a fourth season, with 20 episodes set to premiere in early 2026.
While the cast for season 4 remains unannounced, the third season featured Demi, Jessi, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Mikayla Matthews, Miranda Hope, and Whitney Leavitt.
Britani herself is navigating a changing relationship, sparking interest this season on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Despite having broken up with Jared Osmond multiple times, Brittani confirmed she is once again with her on-again, off-again partner.
“I’m so happy,” she expressed. “I feel calm and peaceful, and he’s my rock. We are each other’s person.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is currently streaming on Hulu.
